WWE’s current Universal Champion Cody Rhodes proved to be great at merchandise sales. In a recent report by Fightful Select, it was revealed that Rhodes has reportedly hit another milestone in terms of merchandise sales. The insiders from the world’s largest sports merchandise company, Fanatics shared with Fightful that Rhodes has become the first professional wrestler to break into the top 5 in merchandise sales, joining the ranks of top athletes and personalities.

Cody Rhodes has now joined the ranks of top American athletes who dominate both sports and business, surpassing wrestling icons like Hulk Hogan and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin emerging as a “merchandise king.”
Previously, Michael Rubin, head of the company that acquired ‘Fanatics,’ personally congratulated Rhodes on his major achievement, “I’ve just been informed that I have to thank you. It’s a massive thank you,” Ruby said, “Because you are the most influential person in the WWE business,” he added in a video shared by Rhodes on August 18.
Earlier reports revealed that Cody Rhodes has already secured a spot in Fanatics’ top five overall sales rankings. Considering the wide range of athletes, celebrities, and public figures associated with Fanatics, this accomplishment is truly remarkable at any stage of development.
In 2023, WWE shared its own list of top merchandise sellers which revealed top industry talents including Rhodes, Roman Reigns, LA Knight, and Rhea Ripley being to the top position driving more sales.
Currently, Rhodes has teamed up with Reigns to take down Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at the upcoming PLE, Bad Blood on October 5. Recently, Rhodes and Reigns gained wide attention after delivering a wonderful promo in the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
