CNN Travel featured Helsinki’s Christmas Market in a list of the world’s best christmas markets.
The news outlet ranked the world’s top 22 holiday markets in places like Germany, Singapore, New York City as well as Helsinki.
The Finnish capital has hosted the Christmas Market (Tuomaan Markkinat) since 1994. It was originally held in Esplanadi Park but later moved to Senate Square, by Helsinki Cathedral.
CNN noted that Helsinki’s holiday event features a carousel, handicrafts as well as traditional treats like Finland’s mulled wine favourite, glögi.
Helsinki’s market also made a similar CNN list last year.
Helsinki’s Christmas Market will run from 29 November until 22 December.
