As the 2024 season of the National Football League moves into Week 7, fans are eager to know how their favorite teams fare in Tom Brady‘s updated power rankings. The former NFL superstar is currently an analyst for Fox Sports and published his top five teams just ahead of this week’s Thursday Night Football showdown between the New Orleans Saints and the Denver Broncos.

Brady’s Week 7 rankings show Kansas City Chiefs staying firm at top spot. With a spotless record of 5-0, the Chiefs have played like a juggernaut with Patrick Mahomes at the helm, retaining the ‘team to beat’ status. Kansas City has no intention of cooling off after last year’s Super Bowl appearance and remains favourites in the league.
Coming in right behind the Chiefs are the Minnesota Vikings at No. 2. The Vikings also remain undefeated as they have started to emerge as probably the most dominant team in the NFL this season. With a 5-0 record, they have so far successfully resisted intense competition in the NFC North. They now prepare for a high-stakes Week 7 where they would be facing their divisional rivals in the battle for the top spot in the league, the Detroit Lions.
Speaking of the Lions, Brady has put them at No. 3 on his list. The team improved after thumping Dallas Cowboys 47-9 in Week 6. Detroit sits at 4-1 and has emerged to become one of the surprise contenders in the league, building a strong case as a serious NFC playoff contender. Brady’s admiration for their officious offensive play and stingy defense is something he makes clear and continues to back the Lions in his rankings.
The Houston Texans rank number four on the list put forward by Brady, who have had a very solid beginning to this season. Sitting at 5-1, they’ve shown some balance on the field-offense as well as on defense-something every team looks for right from the start of the season.
Texans and Ravens End Balanc. Brady is also ranking the Baltimore Ravens at No. 5 with their record standing at 4-2, keeping them true contenders. Both teams have dazzled thus far this season and will look to continue that as they enter crucial matchups.
Tom Brady’s role in the NFL goes far beyond ranking teams. Now a first-time commentator for Fox Sports, Brady is getting used to life behind the microphone, but that is not the first big move he has made. This week it became official: Brady is now a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, a deal approved by NFL owners during a meeting on Tuesday.
Plenty of action can be expected in Week 7, beginning with the closest game of the week when undefeated Vikings host surging Detroit Lions, who can secure a division title and position themselves well within the playoffs by beating their NFC North foe. The 1 p.m. ET slate had a number of great games, at least among them, when the Atlanta Falcons visited Seattle to play the Seahawks, and Green Bay Packers will host Houston Texans.
The 49ers, at 4:05 p.m. ET, will meet some of last season’s Super Bowl players as they host the Kansas City Chiefs in what promises to be an exciting rematch. The week caps off with Monday Night Football and a thrilling doubleheader as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Baltimore Ravens.
It is the fans who will be treated to some fantastic matchups and Tom Brady’s power rankings that give Week 7 an added excitement.
