Exceptionally soft feeling three-piece golf balls
This ball is very reasonably priced considering it features some of the technology used in the more premium model – TaylorMade Tour Response. Also, it’s a three-piece golf ball, which don’t tend to be as affordable as the Soft Response. With fantastic long game performance and impressive greenside spin and control this ball is without a doubt an option to consider.

A great ball to help get the ball airborne
Being a respectable 50 compression golf ball this is suitable for many female golfers (not for those with quicker swing speeds). The Lady Precept isn’t the best performer around the greens, the spin and control isn’t as high as other options for ladies. However, you are still presented with a welcomed soft feel from every club in the bag. For ladies wanting to improve their long game performance the Lady Precept should definitely be considered.

If pink is your color this is the ball you want to be playing
Moving away from colors and focusing on performance, the Soft Feel Lady golf balls are very competitive off the tee, delivering long distance and consistent ball flights. With this being such a soft golf ball the feel and response is incredibly high which transpires into the short game, producing impressive spin and control. Despite Srixon recommending this ball to ladies of all swing speeds, it definitely suits those with moderate to slower swing speeds.

Callaway’s premium feeling golf ball is aimed specifically at female golfers
With a compression rating of 70, the ERC Soft REVA is aimed at female golfers with moderate to quick swing speeds. However, if you haven’t got a particularly quick swing speed but value feel and performance then you won’t be disappointed by switching to this golf ball.

The Tour Speed is an excellent alternative to Titlesit’s premium range of golf balls- especially if you struggle to keep a ball in play (don’t we all)! With a slightly lower ball flight than others, this may not be the best option for every golfer, but it’s definitely one to consider – just don’t be surprised if you don’t get the most action around the greens.

There is a market specifically consisting of female-specific golf balls. However, not all of these golf balls will suit every female golfer. Golf balls can be expensive, but that doesn’t mean you have to pay top dollar to find the best golf balls for your game. Compression
The majority of ladies’ golf balls have a low compression rating, which won’t suit every female golfer. If you do have a moderate to slower swing speed then female-specific golf balls will most likely work for you. However, if you have a quicker swing speed you will benefit from higher compression golf balls which could mean playing with premium golf balls, but it will improve your game and your scores.
Performance
You want to ensure you are getting optimal performance from your golf balls. Every golf ball is slightly different, these differences are amplified from golfer to golfer. If you’re playing with the wrong golf balls they may not be performing well enough for your game – this could have a negative impact on your scores. Playing with vibrant golf balls may be the change your golf game needs.
The main difference between (supposed) men’s and ladies’ golf balls is the compression. It’s very rare a female-specific golf ball will have a high compression core. This is because the average swing speed among female club golfers is around 65mph with a driver, which doesn’t warrant a high compression golf ball. However, there are men’s and ladies’ golf balls with lower compression ratings. Therefore, ladies’ are more than entitled to play with any golf ball as long as it suits their game.
Firstly, you need to be honest with your ability and how well you strike the ball. From there you need to narrow down your options to what will suit the way you play. With the options available to you, try as many as possible until you find the ball you like or the one which helps you play the best golf – hopefully, they’ll be the same ball!
A soft golf ball is much more delicate to the touch and doesn’t feel as solid coming off the club face as a firmer golf ball. The majority of golfers favor a softer feeling golf ball because the sensations are much more welcoming.
In my opinion, all balls are unisex. Ladies can play with men’s golf balls and vice versa. You want to play with the best golf balls for your game. Whether that be a Titleist Pro V1 or a Callaway REVA, as long as your game is heading in the right direction play with whatever ball works.
