Here’s a running list of the basketball teams from the TRN Sports coverage area who have clinched a playoff spot. An asterisk next to a team’s name denotes a district champion.
District 7-4A – Burkburnett.
District 7-3A – City View*.
District 9-2A – Nocona, Seymour, Windthorst.
District 16-A – Harrold, Knox City.
District 17-A – Newcastle, Throckmorton.
District 18-A – Saint Jo, Bellevue.
District 9-2A – Seymour.

This weekend’s action delivered plenty of standouts as usual.
Below are scores and stats from the weekend’s action, including a spotlight on 10 top performers.
McCormick outscored Newcastle by himself as the area’s leading scorer dropped 36 points ina 79-29 victory in District 17-A action.
And McCormick wasn’t alone in at least equaling Newcastle’s total. Lambert scored 29 points in the win, keeping the No. 1 team in Class A undefeated in District 17-A.
Mann lit up the scoreboard and led Bowie to a vital 60-46 victory against City View, putting the Jackrabbits in the thick of the District 7-3A playoff picture.
Johnson scored a game-high 27, but it was Midway picking up the critical District 18-A victory, 54-43, thanks to a balanced scoring attack headlined by Dominic Laude’s 14 points.
Abila and his brother, Blake, combined for 44 points in a 63-35 victory against Northside in District 16-A play, but it was Zander leading the way with 23.
Ingersoll scored a season-high 23 points, and the Lady Hawks earned their first District 7-3A victory, 47-42, over Jacksboro.
Smith has been one of the area’s top scorers, but his 23-point effort wasn’t enough for the Wildcats in a 57-52 loss to Electra in District 9-2A action.
Meekins had a typical performance, dropping 22 points and helping Nocona clinch a playoff berth with a 55-33 victory against District 9-2A foe Windthorst.
The Lady Panthers also clinched a playoff spot in District 9-2A with Hons (21 points) leading them to a 73-14 victory over Olney.
White and teammate Kingston Gould scored 21 points in a 92-60 victory against Lake Worth in District 7-4A action.
