The strategic agreement has yet not been revealed by the companies. Tech Giant, Apple and Altman’s OpenAI refused to issue any statement regarding the partnership.

Following challenges in its AI research and development efforts, Apple has decided to collaborate with OpenAI and Google. Despite creating its own advanced language model (LLM) that can handle simple functions like voice memo transcriptions, photo editing, enhancing Safari searches, and generating automatic replies for Mail and Messages, Apple discovered that its rivals, including Google and OpenAI, were far more sophisticated in chatbot technology.

Apple discovered that its artificial intelligence technology is sufficient to enable functions such as voice memo transcriptions, photo modification, and advanced search options in the Safari web browser, along with automatic responses in applications such as Messages. However, it quickly realized that OpenAI and Google were significantly more advanced in the development of chatbots and instant support features.
