New Delhi: Apple Music has unveiled its much-anticipated list of the top 10 albums of all time, with Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill taking the No. 1 spot. This announcement is part of Apple Music’s 100 Best Albums list, a modern ranking crafted by music experts and industry professionals.
Upon hearing the news, Lauryn Hill expressed her gratitude: “This is my award, but it’s a rich, deep narrative, and involves so many people, and so much sacrifice, and so much time, and so much collective love.”
The top 10 list was discussed by special guests Nile Rodgers and Maggie Rogers in a roundtable hosted by Apple Music’s Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden. This conversation reflects on the impact and significance of these albums.

Nile Rodgers praised Beyoncé’s Lemonade, saying, “This album was so monumental. And I say this with a huge amount of respect because I know what it takes to achieve what she did here.”
Zane Lowe highlighted the groundbreaking nature of Nirvana’s Nevermind: “When this album came out, it made everyone who heard it and connected to it feel like we finally had a band that was ours.”
Ebro Darden reflected on Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city: “He delivered on a Black consciousness that you don’t always get in hip-hop. And that’s why I’m really proud of the fact that it ranks where it does on this list.”
