“He’s one of the best that I’ve ever been around,” head coach Kevin Stefanski said after Cooper’s record-setting performance in December. “What he knows about this game, the way he sees this game, he’s like a savant out there. And combine that with the route-running ability, he’s one of this team’s leaders. These guys love Amari and to see him come through is awesome.”
Cooper’s ranking in the 2024 NFL Top 100 is his third-highest finish of his nine-season career. Cooper was ranked 49th overall in 2020 while with Dallas and has been featured on the Top 100 four times.
A three-year starter at Alabama, Cooper was drafted fourth overall by the then-Oakland Raiders in the 2015 NFL Draft following a dominant junior season in which he finished third in Heisman voting. The Raiders traded Cooper to Dallas in 2018, where the Miami native played three full seasons before landing in Cleveland.
The NFL Top 100 Players list is an annual ranking chosen through polling players across the league. The NFL Network will continue to air the Top 100 players with the final 10 being named Friday, Aug. 2 at 8 p.m.
