Nine Alabama alumni have recorded 1,000-yard receiving seasons in the NFL after two joined the list during the 2024 season. Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams surpassed 1,000 receiving yards this season for the first time in their careers.
They joined Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley as former Alabama players who had 1,000 receiving yards in 2024.
Of the Crimson Tide’s nine 1,000-yard receivers, eight rank as the top eight former Alabama players in NFL career receiving yards. Williams ranks 22nd among Tide alumni in NFL receiving yards. But with another 1,000-yard season, he would be in the top 10.
The 1,000-yard receivers were among the 17 former Alabama players who caught passes during the 2024 NFL regular season. The other pass-catchers included wide receivers DeVonta Smith of the Philadelphia Eagles, Jaylen Waddle of the Miami Dolphins, Amari Cooper of the Buffalo Bills, John Metchie of the Houston Texans, Jermaine Burton of the Cincinnati Bengals, Tyrell Shavers of the Buffalo Bills and Javon Baker of the New England Patriots; running backs Jahmyr Gibbs of the Lions, Josh Jacobs of the Green Bay Packers, Najee Harris of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jerome Ford of the Cleveland Browns, Derrick Henry of the Baltimore Ravens and Brian Robinson Jr. of the Washington Commanders and offensive tackle JC Latham of the Titans.
Five of the top eight Alabama alumni in NFL receiving yards played during the 2024 season, with Cooper, Waddle and Smith joining Ridley and Jeudy.
