The Grand Sefton Handicap Chase is the feature at Aintree on Saturday. Percussion could be an overlooked player at the prices, with Adam Wedge taking the ride on the nine-year-old.
Laura Morgan has a 50% strike rate over the last two weeks, and Percussion looks set for another big run over familiar obstacles.
He hasn’t won on his last 14 starts, but his best efforts have come at Aintree. Among those include an excellent second in this race last year, before finishing third behind Chambard in the Becher Chase.
His season petered out after that effort, but goes well fresh, and should be bang there at the very least.
