The region is also a favored safari destination, with various wildlife, such as zebras and giraffes, inhabiting the Mukuvisi Woodlands around the city. The area also features cycling paths and a bird park.
According to Sarafi Frank, Harare’s wealthiest neighborhoods are in the north, including Borrowdale, which boasts new shopping centers.
While it may be tempting to head straight to the safari, the site suggests spending time in the city to experience its dining, museums, craft markets, and diverse bars.
This comes as KAYAK reveals that Brits are yearning for adventures like safaris in Zimbabwe, surfing in South Africa, and spiritual retreats in India, based on new data from its search engine.
The analysis of flight searches on the site revealed that eight out of the top ten trending travel destinations for summer 2025 are outside Europe.
Zimbabwe claimed the top spot in a recent survey by KAYAK, which revealed that nearly a third (28%) of Brits have already explored Europe and are now looking to venture further afield, with 9% even finding European holidays “boring.”
