Aberdeen-based engineering and consultancy firm PD&MS Group has announced plans to create 200 new jobs following a significant multi-million-pound contract win. The company, which has offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Azerbaijan, is set to expand its workforce to meet the demands of current and future projects.
PD&MS, located in Aberdeen, has declared its intention to generate 200 new positions following the acquisition of a multi-million-pound contract to oversee one of the UK’s crucial oil and gas infrastructures.
INEOS FPS has chosen the Granite City company to provide engineering, procurement, construction, and management services (EPCm) for the Forties Pipeline System, potentially lasting up to five years in what has been characterised as a long-term strategic alliance.
PD&MS will offer extensive EPCm services across various projects, including minor modifications, repairs and maintenance, turnaround operations, and offshore walk-to-work initiatives at the Unity Platform, through which the pipeline passes.
This pipeline system is a vital component of the UK’s infrastructure, transporting approximately 30% of the nation’s oil and gas from around 80 offshore fields in the North Sea.
The contract spans three years, with options for an additional two years, and is anticipated to generate roughly 200 job opportunities.
