Chelsea’s injury problems are beginning to ease as they prepare to welcome Leicester City to Stamford Bridge this weekend.
After a run of just one win in five games that saw them slip out of the top four and crash out of the FA Cup, the Blues got back on track with a comfortable win over Southampton last time out in the league.
The visit of another side scrapping for survival in Leicester offers the chance to build further momentum ahead of a showdown with Arsenal in their final game before the March international break.
Chelsea have been hit hardest by injuries at the back with Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile still yet to play in 2025.
Both are back in full training however with Fofana an unused substitute against Southampton.

Trevoh Chalobah, who has not featured since being forced off last month against Aston Villa, is also available again, part of the squad on Thursday for the Europa Conference League clash with Copenhagen.
There was also good news on Romeo Lavia this week. The Belgian has not played since being forced off in the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth in January and while he was initially not expected to return until April, the midfielder is now back in training.
The Blues remain slightly short in attack with Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke sidelined.
The striker has not featured since the 2-1 win over West Ham, leaving his side without a recognised striker with Marc Guiu also injured in the same match.
But Jackson is expected to be available for the game against Tottenham on 3 April.
Noni Madueke is looking at a similar return timeline having also suffered a hamstring injury that has ruled him out of the last three games.
In Jackson’s absence, Pedro Neto is expected to continue in a centre forward role.
Jorgenson, James, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella, Fernandez, Caicedo, Sancho, Palmer, Nkunku, Neto
Chelsea vs Leicester kicks off at 2pm on Sunday 9 March.
The match is not available to watch live in the UK but you can follow all the action with Metro’s live blog.
