There was precious little between Antiquity and Crest Of Light (second choice) from the word go on their recent C&D encounter and it should be close between them again. WEST TYRONE is slightly less exposed in handicaps than that pair, though, and he was unfortunate to get nailed on the line at Newcastle so might be the answer. Pink Petunia is preferred of the remainder.
On the back of a promising handicap debut, SPEC OF LIGHT is preferred. Bownder (second choice) looks a solid danger, while Appleblossomwhite is respected with further improvement possible.
Masham Moor boasts a fair record over C&D and his latest second can be marked up a touch, but ALICE’S IMPACT showed this trip was within range last time and is preferred. A penalty will make life tougher for last week’s Wolverhampton handicap winner Aspire To Glory.
On the back of an eyecatching effort, EMILY POST gets the vote. Last-time winners Rich Rhythm (second choice) and One More Dream warrant respect, while a few others also have possibilities.
Judged on his last two efforts, WONDER (nap) holds particularly strong claims off an unaltered mark. Haaland, who looks interesting in new headgear, is feared most.
The vote goes to TRUE PROMISE, who is one of the main players on recent form and remains unexposed over 5f. Bedford Flyer, Hiya Maite and Existent are solid dangers, listed in order of preference.
The suggestion is DE VILLE, who has a better chance now dropped to a lesser level and getting weight all round. Bajan Blue (second choice) is another Newmarket raider who commands respect back from a layoff, while newcomer Turquino is interesting.
With further progress plausible, MR NUGGET is taken to follow up his solid C&D success. Covert Legend, with Rossa Ryan back on board, is second choice ahead of Risen Again who has place claims on his penultimate effort. High Court Judge has good recent form figures but may be in the assessor’s grip now.
On the back of a solid reappearance effort, GOZO could well go one better and open his Flat account. Aiming High (second choice) and Percy Willis remain attractively handicapped, while Cloudside Rock is open to improvement. Market confidence behind Sportingsilvermine should be heeded.
