Being a last-time C&D winner who could have more to offer in the retained cheekpieces, FINN LOUGH holds the strongest claims. Awaythelad, who has possibilities in the retained blinkers, is second choice ahead of Always Busy whose recent form includes an easy success.
The Dark Edge should go well, but he’s high in the weights, and preference is for KILLYBEGS JET LADY, who seems mildly progressive. Passengerontheship, Jingle Jangle Jet, and Breadalbane Lass are also in the mix.
Shane Broderick can pick up a race with the former Joseph O’Brien-trained A WAVE OF THE SEA after a lively effort at Navan in December. Last-time-out winner Clonbury Bridge is a likely danger, along with Prince Zaltar, who should be able to uphold recent form with Baldur’s Gate.
