The North Carolina Tar Heels took care of business on Saturday afternoon, earning a double-digit win over Miami to extend their streak to five-straight wins. And they did so in front of an important recruit.
Class of 2027 forward CJ Rosser was in attendance for Saturday’s game at the Dean Dome, taking in the big win for the Tar Heels. Following the game, Rosser also took to Instagram to reveal that he has received an offer from the Tar Heels in his recruitment.
After months of showing interest, the Tar Heels finally officially entered the race for Rosser and it’s an offer that really could impact his recruitment.
The 6-foot-9, 195-pound Rosser is not only the top player in the state of North Carolina but one of the top players overall in the 2027 recruiting class. He’s going to become a must-have recruit for North Carolina as he’s an in-state prospect. Letting a talent like this out of the state would be brutal for the program.
Rosser is ranked No. 2 nationally, the No. 1 power forward and No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
So far, Rosser has 12 offers in his recruitment including from Michigan, Maryland, USC, Texas A&M, and Wake Forest among others. However, more big programs will be after him as it’s still early in his recruitment.
