Friday racing tips

Aviation

Escapologist beat Aviation last time out over course and distance with 5lb in favour of the winner.

Now though, Aviation is being given 7lb by the former winner and as it was so close last time out that swing in the weights is surely going to give the Lucy Wadham-trained horse a win.

Inspiratrice

This mares chase is wide open in such a small field with four horses in no real consistent form.

Sainte Doctor has not really been with it since returning this season and will need a marked improvement to win off top-weight.

Inspiratrice is making a return off 400 days away from the track albeit her run back in December 2023 has worked out nicely placing less than a length away from Mayhem Mya.

This is the same horse that won at 200/1 back in 2022 and has now shown it was no fluke.

Moviddy was second behind Telepathique over course and distance last month and she went on to win in listed company next time so there’s at least some positives to take from that distant second.

That said, prior to that she’s not been close in both mares chases and handicaps so there’s no guarantee she can back up that form either.

Wise Eagle

Won two hurdle contests in a row now amongst some decent performances on the flat including the all-weather most recently.

He had his first hurdle contest back in December 2020 and placed second at 66/1 and not seen in that discipline again until four years later.

Both wins have been comfortable at odds-on. He’s not been upped in the weights but a mark of 123 might be fair but could still not be close to his potential – hence his near evens price in this seven-runner contest.
