David West leads New Orleans on its all-time list of most playoff games played.
The New Orleans Pelicans have made the playoffs nine times in their franchise history. Let’s highlight their top five all-time leaders in playoff games played.
New Orleans drafted West with the 18th pick in the 2003 Draft. He made two All-Star teams during his tenure with the franchise and averaged at least 18.3 points in each of his final five seasons with the team. Additionally, he was big on the glass with three seasons averaging at least 8.2 rebounds. His best playoff performance came in the 2007-08 season, when he averaged 21.2 points while helping New Orleans reach the Western Conference semifinals. Over his 24 career playoff games with the team, he averaged 16.0 points and 7.0 rebounds.
New Orleans drafted Paul with the fourth pick in the 2005 Draft. He won the Rookie of the Year Award in the 2005-06 season, averaging 16.1 points, 7.8 assists and 2.2 steals. He made four All-Star teams with the franchise, led the league in assists per game twice and in steals per game three times. Paul made three trips to the playoffs, but didn’t advance past the Western Conference Semifinals. Over his 23 playoff games with the franchise, Paul averaged 21.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 11.1 assists and 2.0 steals.
Stojaković spent the majority of his career with the Kings, but he also played in 219 career regular season games with New Orleans. His best performance came in the 2006-07 season when he averaged 17.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 3-pointers. Stojaković made two trips to the playoffs with New Orleans and was on that 2007-08 team that advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals. Over 17 career playoff games with the franchise, he averaged 13.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.1 3-pointers.
Chandler played for eight different franchises during his career. He spent three seasons with New Orleans, including when he finished inside the top 10 in Defensive Player of the Year voting in the 2006-07 season. He also averaged at least 11.7 rebounds in both of his first two seasons with the team. During the run in 2007-08 which New Orleans made the Western Conference Semifinals, Chandler provided 8.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks.
Wright was selected 13th overall by New Orleans in the 2007 Draft. He started 34 of his 179 regular season games with the team. He came off the bench in his 15 playoff games and averaged 11 minutes in those contests. That left him with playoff averages of 3.7 points and 1.6 rebounds.
