DETROIT – A new study revealed that the Detroit Lions are among America’s top five most searched NFL teams.
The study carried out by iGaming experts at Gamezinger analyzed average monthly search volumes on Google to determine which teams were searched the most.
Researchers found that the Dallas Cowboys (Americas Team) were the most popular team, with about 98,000 average monthly searches.
The Kansas City Chiefs were close behind, followed by the Lions, with about 83,000 average monthly searches.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce (Taylor Swift) have become dominant forces in recent years, and their recent Super Bowl victories have solidified their status as one of the NFL’s premiere franchises.
The duo, along with head coach Andy Reid, have three Super Bowls and are headed to Super Bowl LIX to take on the Philadelphia Eagles for a chance to not only win their fourth but to three-peat and make league history in the process.
They have a loyal fanbase, as the league’s AFC Championship trophy is named after former owner Lamar Hunt, but the Lions’ fanbase is something else.
They have been eagerly following the team’s progress as they aim to establish themselves as a serious contender in the National Football League.
Although they were upset in the NFC Divisional Round against the Washington Commanders, they had a successful season as they were the No. 1 seed in the conference.
