The Indian Javelin champion Neeraj Chopra married Himani Mor. On Sunday, January 19, the two-time Olympic medallist posted some sweet photos from his wedding ceremony to social media.
Chopra announced the news of his marriage through a social media post, “Started a new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after. Neeraj (heart emoji) Himani.”
Who is Himani Mor?
Himani Mor, a 25-year-old from Sonipat, Haryana, attended Little Angels School in Sonipat and has demonstrated exceptional intellectual and athletic abilities.
Himani received a bachelor’s degree in political science and physical education from Delhi’s Miranda House and is currently enrolled in Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire, USA, to pursue a degree in sports management.
Himani Mor Tennis Career
Himani made notable strides as a tennis player on the national level. Only a few months after making her debut in national competitions, she recorded her highest All India Tennis Association (AITA) rankings in 2018—42 in singles and 27 in doubles.
She has established herself as one of the best tennis players from Haryana by spending 14 weeks in the Top 30 of the AITA Women’s Doubles rankings.
She is also listed as an assistant coach for women’s tennis at Amherst College in Massachusetts, a position that many students take on in order to balance job and school.
