Actor Saif Ali Khan has successfully undergone surgery and is now out of danger. Doctors at Lilavati Hospital continue to closely monitor his condition. Doctors have confirmed that Saif Ali Khan has been moved to the ICU following his surgery and is currently in recovery.
He is expected to be discharged within two days, IE reported. Khan was injured in a knife attack by an intruder at his Bandra residence in Mumbai during the early hours of Thursday. The incident occurred around 2:30 am, leaving the actor with multiple injuries, some of which required immediate medical intervention.
Police officials reported that an unidentified person broke into Khan’s home, leading to a scuffle between the intruder and the actor. A video showing Kareena Kapoor Khan talking to staff at her residence apparently after the attack has also surfaced.

2. The incident took place inside the children’s room of the residence, according to India Today. The report further cited sources as saying that the watchmen did not see anyone breaking in.
3. Khan has reportedly sustained six injuries, two of which were deep, including one near his spine. A report by Hindustan Times quoted Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, as saying, “Saif has six injuries. One is closer to his spine and another on his neck, which is being evaluated.” However, according to a statement from Kareena Kapoor Khan’s team Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital. “The rest of the family is safe.”
4. A doctor at Lilavati Hospital, speaking anonymously to HT, revealed that a piece of the knife was found in Khan’s body during preliminary assessments. However, the actor’s ability to move his limbs indicates that his spine remains unharmed.
5. The Bandra police have launched an investigation into the incident and are probing how the attacker gained access to the actor’s home. Authorities have yet to confirm whether the attack was part of a robbery attempt.
6. Both Khan’s public relations team and Kareena Kapoor Khan urged the public and media to refrain from speculation. “It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation,” read the official statement.
7. As of now, Khan is reported to be stable and out of immediate danger, with the surgery ongoing to assess and treat the injuries.

I pray for his speedy recovery, trusting that the law will take its course and those responsible will be held accountable. My thoughts and prayers are with Sharmila Di, Kareena Kapoor, and the entire family during this difficult time.”
12. On the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis stated, “The police have provided all the details regarding this incident. The nature of the attack, the motive behind it, and the intentions of the attacker.”
13. Police have released a CCTV image of the accused, captured on the sixth floor of the building. A massive search operation is underway, with ten police teams and five specialized crime branch units combing areas such as Bandra and local railway stations. The suspect was last seen in the Prabhadevi area.

Raveena Tandon’s post on X read, “Targeting celebrities and soft targets in what used to be a safe residential area has become rampant, with Bandra losing out to unruly elements, accident scams, hawker mafia, encroachers, land grabbers and criminal elements racing on bikes phone and chain grabbing. 15. Saif Ali Khan health update: “Actor is out of danger, surgery was successful. Injuries were deeper but doctors managed it. He sustained major injury to thoracic spine due to a lost knife in his spine. Surgery was done to remove the knife and repair the leaking spinal fluid. There were two other wounds on the left-hand right side of the neck repaired by the plastic surgery team. The actor is completely stable now, he is in recovery mood. He will be shifted out of ICU tomorrow morning and discharged in two to three days,” informed team of doctors from Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital.
16. The attacker, who was reportedly trying to burglarize the actor’s home, allegedly demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore, as per police source.

According to the statement provided to the police, Eliyama Phillip, also known as Lima, a 56-year-old nurse who has been employed with the Khan family for four years, reported that the suspect initially entered the bedroom where actor Saif Ali Khan’s younger son, Jeh, aged 4, was sleeping. The police took her statement at the station before allowing her to leave.
18. The Mumbai Police have mobilised 20 teams to track down the suspect, with each team assigned specific duties. The investigation is currently ongoing, according to a statement from the police.

Sharing her emotions on Instagram Stories, Saba posted a nostalgic childhood photograph of Saif and penned a touching note. She wrote, “I am in shock and still trying to process this unimaginable incident. But I’m so proud of you, Bhaijaan. Taking care of the family and staying strong—Abba would have been so proud of you. I am too. Get well soon. Missing being there with you, but I’ll see you soon. Duas and prayers are always with you.”
20. Following the shocking incident involving actor Saif Ali Khan, his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan has issued an emotional statement addressing the challenging time their family is facing. In a heartfelt post, she wrote:
