White led four different Bulldogs who reached double figures with 29 points in an 85-67 victory against District 7-4A foe Decatur on Saturday. Ozavian Buford had 23 for the Bullodgs.
Belcher had the best scoring performance of her young career, posting 28 points in a 49-42 victory against Electra in District 9-2A action Saturday. However, she wasn’t the game’s leading scorer.
That honor went to Buchanan, who outscored Belcher by a single point with 29.
The Lady Indians got their biggest District 9-2A challenge since dropping to the Class 2A ranks, holding off Seymour for a 63-56 victory Saturday. Meekins, as usual, was the Lady Indians’ top scorer with 27 points, but a Lady Panther was able to match her in the scorebook.
Hons matched Meekins’ 27 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, allowing Seymour to make the final score more interesting.
Colton Harris ripped off a 24-point performance in a 75-53 victory for the Falcons against District 18-A rival Prairie Valley on Saturday. Prairie Valley’s Trae Campbell delivered 20 points in the loss.
Reed had a game-high 24 points against Abilene High in District 4-5A action Saturday, but the Eagles managed to upset district-favorite Legacy 57-53 in the 4-5A opener for both teams.
Horton poured in 22 points in a 43-40 loss to Archer City in District 9-2A action Friday.
Stark turned in another stellar performance on Saturday, nearly outsourcing Electra himself with 21 points in a 51-25 victory for the Trojans in District 9-2A play.
