Another conference road win helped the Michigan State men’s basketball team move up the national rankings.
The Spartans (12-2, 3-0 Big Ten), who pulled out a 69-62 win at Ohio State on Friday for their seventh straight victory, moved up two spots to No. 16 in the new AP Top 25 that was released on Monday.
This is Michigan State’s highest spot of the season after starting unranked and cracking the top 25 in early December. The Spartans, who haven’t lost in more than a month, host Washington (10-5, 1-3) on Thursday (8 p.m., BTN) before playing at Northwestern (10-5, 1-3) on Sunday (noon, FOX).
The Michigan State women’s basketball team (12-2, 2-1), which snapped a two-game skid with a 77-59 win against Purdue last week, moved up one spot to No. 20 in the latest AP Top 25. The Spartans play at Nebraska (11-4, 2-2) on Wednesday (8 p.m., BTN+) before hosting Washington (11-4, 2-1) on Sunday (2 p.m., BTN+).
