After a couple weeks at No. 6, Alabama basketball has received a well-timed shift in the polls.
The Coaches Poll saw Alabama (12-2) ranked at No. 5 with its second straight 100-plus point victory to start conference play running Oklahoma out of Coleman Coliseum.
No. 1 Tennessee, No. 2 Auburn, No. 3 Iowa State and No. 4 Duke remain at their respective positions as Florida falls out of the top five to No. 8 following its first loss of the season to Kentucky.
UA gets two more opportunities to move up in the polls this week as unranked South Carolina and No. 9 Texas A&M host the Crimson Tide.
