5 Stormageddon (Bet Now: $4.00) comes through the Prophet And Power race from three weeks back. He got off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat I thought when third. If he can use the inside gate to advantage, he’ll be strong late and can take this out.

3 Ginger Green (Bet Now: $4.00) should appreciate a rise to 1600m after racing over 1400m here two weeks back. He got a fair way out of his ground but made up headway and was good in defeat behind Investmentstrategy. Like him back up in distance and this is a winnable race.

1 Capricorn Man (Bet Now: $6.50) gets in well after the claim and has class. He resumed two weeks back here where he looked in need of the run and ran accordingly when down the track behind Norich. Better for that run under the belt and there is no horse of that quality here.

Mitch Pateman trained three year old that takes on the older horses, having not raced since Nov 24 over this track/distance against the older horses when looking to make it 3/3 this prep and was just fair behind Kings Honour. Tick over trial was good and this isn’t a deep contest so happy to give him another chance.

5 Valsassina (Bet Now: $1.80) looks to have returned in beast. Resumed over this track/distance when wide no cover throughout but she was absolutely trucking before being clicked up and away she went to win quite impressively. If she can hold that, she’ll take beating here.

1 Bondi Bubbles (Bet Now: $31.00) is a very interesting runner. He was a real find in the Summer/Autumn of 2024, winning a host of races on the bounce but in two Winter runs, he flopped and was on the plain side. Given a good break, has trialled well enough and Blinkers on first up signals intent.

7 Golden Opera (Bet Now: $7.50) on top in what looks a two horse. She debuted two weeks ago behind Castle Road here. She was comfortably held, but she kept finding the line and stuck on well in defeat to run second. Better for the run under the belt, kind map, I think she can bounce back.

1 Castle Road…(Bet Now: $2.50) all you can do is win and that is what this guy has done in two career outings, the latest being in the race mentioned above when leading throughout and he gave nothing else a look in to win comfortably. Tricky draw, creeping up in the relative weights, but hard to knock him.

$SP.00) is a son of Universal Ruler that is on debut for Simon Miller. He has had one trial, which came last week at Belmont when placing and seemingly moved well enough to my eye when second. Tricky draw, but with this stable, he commands respect.

He resumed two weeks back in the Sires Stakes where he got into a decent spot just off the speed and tried hard but just lacked the killer blow to go with them late in the piece. He had trialled well leading in so I am not dismissing him.

1 Cheval De Vaga (Bet Now: $11.00) also gets the Bar Plates on. That’s the knock, but he races best when leading in and with front end control, he’s dangerous. He is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when on speed and tried hard but just felt the pinch late behind The Boss Lady. His best is more than good enough.
