Canadian Christian artist Samantha Ebert was thrilled to hear that her single ‘Flowers’ made it on the NBA’s top song playlist this year.
“Craziest text to wake up to,” says Ebert on Instagram. “Huge shoutout to @buddylove from Golden State for making ‘Flowers’ your pre-game song.”
Originally from the Bahamas, Buddy Hield is a shooting guard with the Golden State Warriors. After choosing Ebert’s song for the pre-game playlist posted by Billboard, Hield even commented on her Instagram post saying “Fire song.”
Also on the Golden State Warriors team out of San Fransisco is Christian and point guard Stephen Curry. His favourite pre-game song was “Comin in Hot” by Christian rapper Lecrae featuring Andy Mineo.
Ebert released “Flowers” on April 19 this year. The single blew up across North America, and as the singer explained, the song has a very personal meaning for her as she continues to walk through navigating life with Lyme Disease.
On Dec. 19, Ebert released a collaboration version of her song with up-and-coming artist Seph Schlueter.
