2 Go Go Go (Bet Now: $12.00) gets in well after the claim and has upside/timing after a good effort over this trip at Sha Tin last time, working home nicely despite being held up at times. Leading contender if he can overcome the tricky draw.

Long Shot

6 Running Ahead (Bet Now: $10.00) is racing like a rise to 1800m. His last run came over 1650m here where he got too far back in the run but worked home well enough without threatening. Tick over trial was solid enough and is racing like he will appreciate more ground, which he gets here.

1 Modest Gentleman (Bet Now: $7.00) takes beating here. He ran over this track/distance just over four weeks ago in a solid Class 4 and worked home well without threatening when fourth. He drops to a moderate Class 5 and if he’s within range, he has the finale to beat this lot.

2 Speedy Fortune (Bet Now: $4.40) gets the blinkers back on to sharpen him up after a somewhat even run at this track/distance on October 30. Wasn’t beaten far but he did have his chance. Tick over trial was good and he has a kind map in his corner.

Long Shot

4 Happy Horse (Bet Now: $8.00) is another class dropper after racing two weeks back at this track/distance where he got off speed and worked to the line okay without threatening. Think with a more positive ride, he’s good enough to take this out.

2 Escape Route (Bet Now: $6.00) looks ready to win for John Size. He has been quite good in two runs back, the latest run being two weeks ago at this track/distance where he got a fair way out of his ground but worked home with real purpose in defeat. Gets J Mac and despite a tricky gate, is the one to beat.

10 Dragon Delight (Bet Now: $3.70) will put himself on speed and fight hard. Tough on speed win two back in Class 5 before stepping up to Class 4 where he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through. Good racing style and in form.

Long Shot

4 Happy Again (Bet Now: $34.00) is an improver. He resumed at this track/distance two weeks back where he paraded like he would improve with the run and that’s how it panned out but he was far from disgraced in defeat. Better for the run, he can be an improver at odds.

1 Charity Gain (Bet Now: $2.70) looks the one to beat. Lightly raced but clearly heading in the right direction and should love the rise to 2200m. He ran over 2000m at Sha Tin last time out where he got a fair way out of his ground but his finale was very good when third. Dominant win over 1800m here the start prior and should love the extra ground. I think good luck beating him.

3 Dragon Star (Bet Now: $16.00) can be considered a threat if Charity Gain is off his game. He ran third in the 1800m race mentioned above won by Charity Gain and seemingly had his chance but battled on well enough in defeat I thought. Tick over trial was good and maps perfect.

Long Shot

6 Affordable (Bet Now: $7.00) ran fourth in the 2000m race at Sha Tin that Charity Gain contested. He got back to near last in the run and was good late in the piece, clocking some of the faster late splits of the race. Gets J Mac on and with a more positive ride, he’s dangerous.

4 Glory Cloud (Bet Now: $5.00) looks the one to beat if he can produce better racing manners. He ran over this track/distance four weeks ago where he got into a decent spot near the speed but was quite keen in the run and I think that took something away from his finale when a narrow second to Triumphant More. If he brings his best, he’s the one to beat.

8 Northern Fire Ball (Bet Now: $14.00) has shown talent since day one so I think forgive him for the last start flop where he got back in the run and failed to make up headway in a plain effort. Prior runs were solid enough for this and despite this being his first look at Happy Valley, he commands respect, especially with Z Purton on.

Long Shot

3 Metro Warrior (Bet Now: $31.00) is getting on in years but he is suited back to this level of race re depth. He ran at Sha Tin last time out and just couldn’t really get involved when down the track behind Sugar Ball. With luck from the gate, he can threaten at odds.

1 Gallant Valour (Bet Now: $5.00) is the one for me. Jamie Richards trained gelding that ran over this track/distance three weeks ago where he got back to near last in the run but was one of the eye catchers of the meeting, closing off with purpose late in the piece when fourth. Bowman sticks, good upside to come, happy to be in his corner.

3 Golden Rise (Bet Now: $6.50) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. This guy has raced over this track/distance in both runs this prep, the latest run coming three weeks ago where he did a bit of early work from the wide gate and that early burn just told on him late in the piece. J Mac on, hard fit, he appeals.

Long Shot

6 Good Prospect (Bet Now: $21.00) can be an improver at odds. He was down the track at Sha Tin when resuming on October 1 but the two tick over trials since have been quite good and with luck from the gate, he has shown enough to be considered a knockout hope.

4 Lightning Bolt (Bet Now: $3.00) should take beating here. Son of Acclamation that ran over this track/distance on October 23 where he got back in the run and finished his race off well enough without really threatening behind Robot Knight. Tick over trial was quite good and does get J Mac on.

1 Beauty Destiny (Bet Now: $4.80) has found winning form and he can go on with after a track/distance win three weeks, landing bets at odds when giving them a start and a beating to win impressively. Can he repeat the dose? He certainly finds a winnable enough race to do so.

Long Shot

6 Racingrace (Bet Now: $11.00) hasn’t been far away in two runs this prep and I say is a winning threat with the right run in transit. Close up in defeat over 1000m here fresh before going to 1200m at Sha Tin when on speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through. Better run in transit, more economical run, he’s dangerous.

$SP.00) looks a progressive animal that can make it 2/2 in Hong Kong. His debut came over this track/distance on Oct 27 where he got off the speed but came with a well timed run and finished best to win impressively. Tick over trial was quite good, Purton sticks, happy to be in his corner.

Danger

2 Red Elegance (Bet Now: $3.20) is the key threat. He has been kept on ice, having not raced since running fourth to Horsepower in the race mentioned above when off the speed, held up at times, but was good late in the piece and close up in defeat. Better run in transit, he can threaten.

Long Shot

11 Healthy Healthy (Bet Now: $6.50) gets Blinkers first time so with that in mind, he commands some form of respect. He ran sixth to Horsepower in the same race. He was okay late but did seemingly have his chance so Blinkers go on to sharpen him up and the two trials since have been quite good. Not dismissing him.

2 Hameron (Bet Now: $13.00) is the way I am leaning in the get out. He ran over this track/distance three weeks ago where he got back in the run and made up some headway but was never really a factor when down the track behind Winning Steps. Good track/distance record and he was six weeks between runs there so he has room for improvement.

7 Rocket Spade (Bet Now: $5.00) is racing consistently and commands respect. He ran third to Winning Steps in the race mentioned above. He got back to near last in the run and spotted those in front a tidy start but worked home strongly to be beaten just under two lengths. Bowman on, he rates highly.

Long Shot

6 Comet Splendido (Bet Now: $19.00) is a son of War Command that resumes for Danny Shum. He is first up, having not raced since Sep 11 at the mile here. He was wide throughout so forgive and forget the run. First up signals intent and he seemed to move well in a recent tick over trial.
