SCHSL football highlights: Mountain View Prep beats Woodruff, 40-38
Mountain View Prep and Woodruff both came in undefeated in the 2024 high school football season.
The SCHSL girls basketball season is tipping off Dec. 3.
Here are some Upstate area girls basketball players to watch in the 2024-25 South Carolina high school basketball season.
Makayla Assemian, Powdersville, So.: Assemian averaged 8.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and two steals as a freshman.
Zhykera Brown, Legacy Early College, Sr.: Brown averaged 17 points and 2.9 rebounds per game last season. Brown is committed to Saint Louis.
Te’erika Dowling, Byrnes, Sr.: Dowling averaged 16. 6 points per game and hit 1,000 career points before going down with a season-ending injury last season. She is back for her last season.
Harmoni Earl, T.L. Hanna, So.: Earl averaged 12.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and three steals as a freshman last season.
Breah Franks, J.L. Mann, Sr.: The 6-foot-2 senior is committed to Queens University.
Shiriah Harris, Gaffney, Jr.: Harris averaged 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and two assists per game last season and was named to the Class AAAAA All-State team.
Kyndal Haroski, Riverside, Jr.: Haroski averaged 17.1 points, 2.3 assists, and 2.4 rebounds last season.
Khalia Hartwell, Westside, So.: The 6-5 sophomore averaged 10.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.8 blocks per game last season. Hartwell has offers from Ole Miss, Alabama, Georgia, Providence and SMU.
Tiffany Helmer, St. Joseph’s Catholic, Jr.: Helmer averaged 12.1 points, 2.8 assists and three rebounds last season. She made the 2024 SCBCA 1-A All-State Team.
Anyah Henderson, Blue Ridge, Sr.: The Travelers Rest transfer averaged 12.9 points, 6.5 assists and six rebounds last season.
Tianah Hopper, Gaffney, So.: Hopper averaged 16.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game as a freshman. She was named the Region 2-AAAAA player of the year.
Zara Leamon, Mauldin, Jr.: Leamon averaged 21.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game last season. She earned All-State honors.
Lila Mann, Daniel, So.: The 5-8 point guard averaged 11.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists as a freshman and earned All-State honors.
Ava Owens, Greenville, Jr.: The Pickens transfer averaged 15 points and 7.3 rebounds last season. Owens has an offer from Winthrop.
Delilah Soltys, Mauldin, Sr.: Soltys averaged 12 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.3 steals per game. The senior is committed to James Madison.
Elly Trickett, Riverside, Sr.: Trickett averaged 12.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game last season. Trickett was the MVP in Riverside’s state title victory against A.C. Flora.
Morgan White, Dorman, Jr.: The 6-4 junior averaged 11.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks last season.
Krislyn Wilder, Chapman, Sr.: The Columbia College commit averaged 16.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.6 steals per game last season.
