Andhra Pradesh Government Promises Top-notch Infrastructure for Industrial Zones | Vijayawada News – Times of India
Vijayawada: Industries minister TG Bharat said that the state govt is committed to provide best possible infrastructure in the industrial zones across the state. He said that the govt will resolve all pending litigations in Mallavalli industrial park in Krishna district shortly.
Responding to queries raised by members during the question hour on Monday, Bharath said that chief minister Chandrababu Naidu had already agreed to allot plots in Mallavalli zone at Rs 16.5 lakh per plot, the price that was fixed during TDP’s previous regime from 2014 to 2019.He said that YSRCP govt increase the plot cost to Rs 60 lakh prompting many industrialists to shy away from setting up their units.
He said that Ashok Leyland, which scrapped its plans to set up its unit during the previous regime, had agreed set up the plant following the negotiations held by the chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. He said that many industrialists are of the view that it is wise to invest in Andhra Pradesh now since Naidu has returned to power. He charged that the previous regime had scared away industrialists from the state.
He said that the govt created Mallavalli industrial park in 1,360 acres at Bapulapadu of Krishna district in which a dedicated food park is coming up in about 100 acres. To all those who got land in phase-II of Mallavalli park, he promised to allocate alternative plots in phase-III to avoid delay in resolving legal issues. He said that they would also discuss with local farmers about acquisition of about 479 acres of assigned land available close to the Mallavalli industrial park. He said that they would consider setting up a police out-post and fire station in the industrial zone to enhance safety.
He explained that about 183 firms have expressed their willingness to launch operations in the zone shortly and added that they would issue revised guidelines to the allocation of land that all the units that got land at subsidized price should ground within one year and commence commercial operations within three years.
Housing minister Kolusu Pardhasaradhi said that the govt is contemplating to rope in Hudco to take up infrastructure works in housing layouts across the state. He promised to expedite the construction of housing units and admitted that existing poor infrastructure in many housing layouts is prompting plot owners delay the construction. He echoed with the members that several layouts were located in water ponds and low-level areas making it tough for the govt to fill the land. He said that they would surely take appropriate measures to make the colonies livable by creating required infrastructure including roads, drinking water, power supply and drainage facilities. Minister said that they have assigned construction works to private firms in some areas in order to expedite the work.
