The Automation Company took home the prize for ‘Best Overall Business of the Year’ and ‘Best SME Business of the Year’.
There were eight categories at this year’s award including ‘Best Employer’, ‘Best Not-For-Profit’, and ‘Best Emerging Business’.
But, it was Design Pro Automation that received the highest honour of ‘Best Overall Business of the Year’ at the Limerick Chamber Awards this year.
The Automation Company also took home the prize for ‘Best SME Business of the Year’.
Milford Hospice also received the high honour of Presidents Award, which recognises businesses that have made a remarkable and praiseworthy contribution to life in the Midwest.
The Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards were held at the Strand Hotel on Friday the 15th of November.
The Limerick Chamber President’s Dinner was also celebrated at the black-tie event, attended by dozens of Limerick businesspeople, community members and public representatives.
Taoiseach Simon Harris was the guest of honour for the night.

Milford Hospice were honoured for their work, receiving the first award of the night- the Presidents Award.
The winner of ‘Best Employer: Champion of Employee Well-being and Development Award’ was Serosep.
‘Best Not For Profit Award’ went to Helium Arts.
The ‘Innovation Impact Business Award went to Wrxflo.
The Best SME Business of the Year was Design Pro Automation.
Elite Talent Hub Recruitment Ltd took home the award for Best Emerging Business.
The Excellence in Customer Experience Award went to the University Concert Hall.
The winner of the Sustainability Leadership Award was DGD Shredding, while Best Contribution to the community Award went to Moore Limerick.
Finally, DesignPro Automation won their second, and biggest award of the night- ‘Best Overall Business of the Year’.
The awards are held annually by Limerick Chamber and the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest and were this year sponsored by Limerick Chamber, AIB, BDO, EY, Holmes LLP, Shannon Airport Group, Northern Trust, and Limerick City and County Council.
