The recruitment for five-star forward Caleb Wilson appears to be hitting the finish line.
The Atlanta, Georgia native is one of the best recruits in the 2025 class and one of the few remaining targets left for Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels to add to their class. While things have been relatively quiet in the recruitment, many believe North Carolina, Kentucky, and Arkansas are the three teams that have the best chance.
But now, it appears as if this could be a two-team race.
Per Travis Branham of 247Sports, Wilson has canceled his visit to Arkansas this weekend. This is the second time Wilson has decided not to visit the Razorbacks’ program. And this time, it’s not expected to get rescheduled.
This is big news for both the Tar Heels and Wildcats as it probably eliminates the Razorbacks from the running.
Wilson is expected to make his decision within the next month or so, and this recent update just adds more fuel to that. The Tar Heels really need to land a big commitment in the 2025 class after landing two four-star recruits for the class.
The 6-foot-9, 205-pound Wilson is ranked No. 8 nationally, No 4 power forward and the No. 1 player in the state of Georgia per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
