SKY customers have been warned to expect some major changes on their TV from today.
More than a dozen channels are shifting position on the TV guide as part of a big shake-up affecting millions of households.
Sky routinely reviews its channel line-up and makes changes to fill gaps.
There have been a fair few channel closures in the last 12 months or so to prompt this latest wave of tweaks.
A huge clear out of music channels occurred earlier this year, which saw The Box, 4Music, Magic, Kiss and Kerrang close down for good due to cost-cutting measures by owner Channel 4.
We’ve also lost entertainment channel E! – original home to Keeping Up With The Kardashians – at the end of last year.
So naturally, it calls for a little reshuffle.
And there are more than a dozen to be mindful of this time around.
Fortunately, Sky customers won’t need to take any action as it’ll all happen on their box automatically.
However, it’s important to keep on top of any changes so you’re not caught out and miss your favourite shows.
Especially as some BBC and Discovery channels are affected by the move.
Viewers should note that some changes are only happening in selected regions and not others.
For example, BBC Scotland HD will stay put at channel number 115 for viewers in Scotland, but everywhere else it will move from its current spot, 187, to 180.
The overhaul only applies to satellite too – there are no changes to the channel numbers of Sky Glass and Sky Stream.
