A bumper ten event program has been assembled for Rosehill on Saturday with a stack of feature races across the program. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out two metres from the 1500m-900m; Out three metres for the remainder.

16 Alabama State (Bet Now: $3.20) is a horse who looks well above average and is bursting to win a Midway. He ran here two weeks ago when held up at times before eventually getting clear and found the line really well late in the piece. If the breaks go his way here, I think his win will be coming.
Danger
4 Apollo Mission (Bet Now: $8.00) is rising in grade/depth, but I think he is absolutely humming for Mitch Beer and has earned a crack in town. He is 2/2 this time in, both on the home deck at Kembla where each time he has given them a start and a beating and has been impressive. Trialled up really well at Nowra and although he’ll concede a start, he should be quite strong at the end.
Long Shot
9 Treize (Bet Now: $9.50) will put herself on speed and give plenty of cheek. She ran third in a Midway here back on Sep 14 when on speed and she tried her guts out but couldn’t quite see it through behind Silentstar. I think if she gets some form of control in front, she’s going to take running down.

3 Don Stefano (Bet Now: $23.00) is a son of Staphanos that resumes for the in form Dean Mirfin camp. He resumes, having not raced since June 22 at Newcastle when placing over 2370m behind Oakfield Hawk in a good effort. 1500m fresh signals some of intent and he has trialled well enough for the return.
Danger
1 Rajnish (Bet Now: $9.00) will love the drop back in grade/depth after contesting the Dubbo Cup last time where he was outclassed on paper and ran accordingly when down the track behind Sneak Preview. Much better suited at Highway level, he maps perfect and gets in well after the claim.
Long Shot
21 Straight Fire (Bet Now: $11.00) is a mare for Todd Smart I have always had time for. She contested the Highway a fortnight back where she was building into the race with purpose and while she wasn’t going to win, she was going to place but got badly checked. 1500m is fine, and she’s one of the leading contenders.

6 Bear On The Loose (Bet Now: $2.50) is three weeks between runs for GaiBott since resuming at Randwick over the mile when leading and giving a very strong kick but couldn’t quite see it through behind Floating. Fitter and up in trip, he takes beating I say, especially with front end control.
Danger
8 Mare Of Mt Buller (Bet Now: $7.50) should appreciate a rise to 2000m. She resumed with a strong third over 1500m before going to 1900m here two weeks back where she just raced a bit on the flat side behind Firestorm. Her best is more than good enough and hard fit, I am not dismissing her.
Long Shot
10 Fay’s Angels (Bet Now: $31.00) is a ripping mare for Karen Owen. She comes through the Firestorm race from two weeks back here. She got back off the speed before being presented clear air and looked but couldn’t quite see it through behind the Waller mare. Up to 2000m is fine and she’s very genuine. One for exotics.

2 Henlein (Bet Now: $3.50) is my Spring Champion pony and confident he can further confirm that with a win here. He comes through the Stutt at The Valley where he wasn’t entirely happy on the tight track but he kept finding the line in a good effort. Love him up to 1800m and he takes beating I say.
Danger
3 El Castello (Bet Now: $6.50) is a very promising three year old for Anthony Cummings that should measure up here off the back of a strong Midway win three weeks ago where gave them a start and a beating. Up to 1800m looks ideal and he has versatility re racing style.
Long Shot
4 Duvana (Bet Now: $16.00) is a horse always regarded highly by Chris Waller but he had to go to Goulburn for a maiden kill and it was indeed a kill, winning by a space. He has eyes on the Spring Champion and keen to see him here at 1800m. Definite threat.

Hot, hot, hot race. But, I am going to have something on 11 Spirit Of Wealt (Bet Now: $3.50). She is a rocket. Bit wayward, doing a bit wrong, but the engine she has under the hood…she could well be a star and I think she’s fair enough odds to find out against some here who are cast, jury is out or needs things to fall into place.
Danger
2 Switzerland (Bet Now: $7.50) is a fascinating runner. Chris Waller trained colt that has eyes on the Coolmore after failing badly fresh, where the potential early plan was The Everest but he has been freshened up with eyes towards the Coolmore and the tick over trial last week was more than encouraging.
Long Shot
5 Perspiration (Bet Now: $7.00) is a colt that is above average. He does need give in the track so that is the query leading into this but he was a sharp winner of the Heritage, giving them a start and a beating and was quite impressive the way he put them away. Hard to knock him. Just needs juice in the ground.

12 More Territories (Bet Now: $6.00) is three weeks between runs since contesting the Tea Rose where the barrier trial tempo was against her but she kept finding and was pretty good in defeat. More genuine tempo here and hard fit, I think she’ll take beating against these.
Danger
2 Anode (Bet Now: $3.00) will put himself on speed and look to give his all. He tried hard in the Golden Rose but he just didn’t quite measure up when down the track. Back to this level, with his racing style, he can bounce back and run a much improved race.
Long Shot
3 King Of Roseau (Bet Now: $8.00) looks to have returned in pretty good order for Peter Snowden and is one of the hardest to beat. Did more than enough fresh in the San Domenico behind Storm Boy before going to the Poseidon at Flemington where he kept finding the line from off the speed in a good effort behind Growing Empire. Has to be rated as one of the hardest to beat.

10 Navajo Peak (Bet Now: $31.00) is worth a throw at the stumps at odds I say. He resumed three weeks ago in the 7 Stakes and while held by Fangirl, he didn’t disgrace himself at all in defeat. He has more upside than most, he’ll love the rise to 2000m and has home track advantage.
Danger
4 Kovalica (Bet Now: $5.00) looks the most obvious. He has come back in great order I feel after contesting the Epsom last Saturday. He should have placed behind Ceowulf but just got badly held up at the wrong time when trying to build the revs. He will love the rise to 2000m, maps perfect and has class. Clearly likeable.
Long Shot
5 Nonconformist (Bet Now: $13.00) comes here with fresh legs for Grahame Begg, having not raced since his return in the Chelmsford where he looked in need of the run but wasn’t too bad in defeat behind Buckaroo, who has since gone on to be a Group l star so that form clearly reads well for this.

9 Encap (Bet Now: $6.50) is a Gary Portelli trained four year old that comes here off the back of a strong win in the Theo Marks where he gave them a start and a beating, letting down with purpose late to win and win well. Loved his tick over trial last week, he loves Rosehill…hard to beat.
Danger
10 Gringotts (Bet Now: $3.80) is three weeks between runs for Ciaron Maher since contesting the Bill Ritchie when first up and he should have won but got badly held up at wrong stages, driving hard to just miss out. Fitter, can settle closer in the run and will be strong at the end.
Long Shot
7 Belclare (Bet Now: $21.00) is a Bjorn Baker trained mare that went nuts in front in the Sheraco and faded late behind Sunshine In Paris. Tick over trial was very good and I do think her best is more than good enough to be dangerous at a big price.

Back Me
1 Royal Merchant (Bet Now: $16.00) is an improver and has a clear class edge. Ciaron Maher trained Group l winning mare that comes through the Sheraco when first up. She was too bad to be true I thought, getting off the speed and failed to get involved when running last. Has won second up previously and her best is good enough to do a number on these.
Danger
3 Olentia (Bet Now: $2.60) is a Chris Waller trained mare that resumes. She is first up, having not raced since the Queen Of The Turf in the Autumn when running a ripping race in defeat behind stablemate Zougotcha. She brings class and although just one soft trial for the return, that prep has been used successfully with this stable this Spring eg Lady Shenandoah.
Long Shot
4 Coco Jamboo (Bet Now: $6.00) is a talented mare resuming for Peter Snowden. She didn’t do a bad job when last in work, winning the Hawkesbury Crown fresh before a down the track effort in the Tatts Tiara. Trialled well enough for the return to my eye and maps ideally.

10 Pharari (Bet Now: $2.15) will take beating if she behaves herself. She had a bee in her bonnet two weeks ago here, she bombed the start, was held up…should have won, simple as that. She has the engine under the hood to be Stakes class so keen to see how she goes.
Danger
Fresh seems best for 8 Huon (Bet Now: $23.00) and this Richard Litt trained gelding looks to have returned in very good order off impressive trial work and then a first up win at the midweeks on the Kenso, getting the suck run in transit just off the speed before angling clear and knuckled down best to score. Confident he runs well here.
Long Shot
4 Stromboli (Bet Now: $23.00) is an improver for Team Hawkes. He ran behind Ostraka four weeks back where he got into a tricky spot from the wide gate and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up headway and was sound enough in defeat. Can settle closer, be within range, hard to beat.
