Akasa Air is celebrating its second anniversary with an impressive journey marked by notable achievements. Having served 11 million passengers since its inaugural flight on August 7, 2022, from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, the airline is rapidly advancing towards its goal of being among the top 30 global airlines by the end of this decade. Akasa Air has set a new standard in Indian aviation with its commitment to empathetic service, reliable operations, and affordable fares.
Known for its punctuality, Akasa Air has earned its place as India’s most on-time airline. This reputation, coupled with its operational efficiency and positive customer feedback, has made it a preferred choice for millions. The airline’s focus on connecting people, cultures, and regions has driven triple-digit growth, establishing it as the fastest-growing airline in global aviation history.
Vinay Dube, Founder and CEO of Akasa Air, remarked, “Two years ago, we set out to transform air travel with a vision of reliability, service excellence, and affordability. Today, we proudly reflect on our achievements, including being India’s leader in on-time performance. Our commitment to providing an exceptional flying experience is exemplified by our comfortable seating, fresh in-cabin atmosphere, and curated culinary offerings. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our 4,000-strong team and the support of our partners, including the Ministry of Civil Aviation and DGCA. We are eager to continue building an airline that makes India proud.”
