The 2024 Summer Olympics tennis tournament is set to ignite the iconic Stade Roland Garros from July 27 to August 4. Approximately 41 nations have taken part in the tournament, with top players from around the world showcasing their skills on the iconic clay courts of Roland Garros.
Watch the world’s best players compete for Olympic gold on the same prestigious courts that host the French Open. The tournament features 184 players competing in five events: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
Additionally, at the Paris Olympics 2024, the Indian tennis players lost to their French opponents, capping off a disappointing tournament run.

At the Paris 2024 Olympics, tennis will be played in a knockout format. Both men’s and women’s singles will have 64 players.
This will be the first time since the 1992 Barcelona Olympics that tennis events are played on clay courts. It will also be the first time since 2012 in London that tennis is held at a Grand Slam venue, which in Paris will be at the Roland Garros stadium.

Paris Olympics 2024 Tennis India Matches and Schedule
Sumit Nagal, who was paired against French player Corentin Moutet, put up a valiant effort but ultimately fell short in a closely contested match.
Moutet won the match in three sets, with the final score being 6-2, 2-6, 7-5. Nagal, who showed great determination and skill throughout the match, was unable to secure the victory despite his best efforts. The match lasted up to two hours and 28 minutes at Court Seven in Roland Garros.

Following it, in the men’s doubles, the Indian duo of Rohan Bopanna and N Sriram Balaji were competing against the French pair of Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Gael Monfils. Unfortunately, the French duo defeated the Indian pair by a score of 5-7, 2-6 in the second round.
It was a hard time for the Indian players, but they showed great sportsmanship and determination throughout the match. Additionally, it is expected to be the last tennis match for Bopanna, who has announced his retirement from the Davis Cup.
Although India wasn’t able to secure a medal in the Paris Olympics 2024, the players worked hard and showcased their skills on the court.
