Bears receiver Keenan Allen has been voted the 51st best player in the NFL in a poll of players conducted by NFL Network.
Allen was featured Thursday on “The Top 100 Players of 2024,” which unveiled players ranked Nos. 60-51, and continues with 10 players revealed weekdays through Wednesday July 31. The top 10 will be announced Friday Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. CT live on NFL Network.
Allen is headed into his 12th NFL season and first in Chicago after he was acquired by the Bears in a trade with the Chargers March 14.
The six-time Pro Bowler boasts one of the top resumés at his position across the league. Since entering the NFL in 2013, he ranks third in receptions, fourth in targets, sixth in receiving yards and is tied for tenth in receiving touchdowns.
Allen totaled six 1,000-yard seasons with the Chargers, became the first player in NFL history to catch at least 15 passes in three career games and the fastest player in NFL history to surpass 900 receptions.
Last season, Allen recorded a career-high and Chargers-record 108 receptions for a total of 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns. He also became just the 54th player in NFL history to reach 10,000 career yards’ surpassing the mark Nov. 6 in a Monday night win over the Jets.
Allen is the second Bears player to make the Top 100 list so far. Defensive end Montez Sweat made his debut at No. 82 Monday.
