New Delhi: India will take on Canada in their last match of the group stage at the Central Broward Park Stadium, Lauderhill, Florida. Rohit Sharma and Co. has already qualified for Super 8 of the tournament while Canada has been eliminated.
India defeated Ireland by 8 wickets in their first match of the campaign. After that, the Men in Blue defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by 6 runs in a low-scoring thriller and they defeated USA by 7 wickets in their third match of the group stage. India played all three games at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York where the pitch provided great assistance to the bowlers while batters struggled to score runs.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will look to score some runs on the batting-friendly surface in Florida. Rishabh Pant is in sensational form and has been the leading run-scorer of Team India. Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh are the joint-leading wicket-takers of the team. Canada lost their first match against USA but they defeated Ireland in their next match. Canada lost their third match of the group stage against Pakistan.
