It’s time to celebrate the best of British TV! Hosted by comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan, the 2024 BAFTA TV Awards honoured the biggest stars of British television in a glamorous ceremony at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
The nominations for this year’s BAFTA awards were announced in March with The Crown and Black Mirror getting the most nods. However, those nominations didn’t translate into awards as Happy Valley and Top Boy dominated the TV BAFTA.
There was hardly any mention of two of the biggest US series of last year, Succession and The Crown. Both left empty-handed (almost) at this year’s award ceremony. While Succession earned just one award, Best Supporting Actor for Matthew Macfadyen, The Crown missed out entirely.
