The Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic resume their first-round series in the 2024 NBA Playoffs Friday with Game 6. The Cavaliers have a 3-2 lead in the series after a thrilling 104-103 win in Game 5, but the Magic dominated both home games so far in this series and will hope to send the matchup to Game 7.
Here’s a look at some of our favorite player prop bets to target for Game 6 Friday, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Banchero was on fire in Game 5, logging 39 points, four assists and eight rebounds. He struggled in Game 4 but went over this line in Game 3 at home with 31 points, five assists and 14 rebounds. The Magic forward should have heavy usage as he attempts to carry this team, and this line is low for an elimination game. Banchero has steadily grown as a player over his young season and this is the next step in adding to his already strong trajectory. He should show out in this elimination game.
Mitchell went over this line in both games in Orlando during this series, while going under this mark in all three games in Cleveland. The star shooting guard could potentially be more aggressive scoring the ball with a chance to close out the series but I think the Magic will key in on him defensively. Even with the Cavaliers struggling to hit shots in Games 3 and 4, Mitchell surpassed this line. I think Cleveland will be a bit more efficient in Game 6, which should result in Mitchell going over this mark.
The Cavaliers point guard has gone over this line in two of the five games, but he went under this mark in both contests in Orlando during the series. The Magic remain one of the best teams at defending the three-point line and although Garland is an excellent perimeter shooter, I think Orlando’s defense has stepped up at home. Garland’s attempts from deep have gone down a bit since the end of the regular season, and he’s only attempted five shots from the perimeter in each of the last two games. I think he stays under this line in Game 6.
It has been a rough series for the young Magic big man but he finally appeared to take on the primary role in the interior with 33 minutes in Game 5. He’s only gone over this line once since he doesn’t take too many shots, though I think he should see some more opportunities at home in Game 6. Carter Jr. managed 10 points in his lone appearance against Cleveland during the regular season, and he had 11 points in Game 4. This is a low enough line where Carter Jr. can deliver, and the payout is solid.
