Blackpink Named Most Powerful Korean Celebrity In 2024 By Forbes Korea
Blackpink have been dubbed as the most powerful Korean celebrity of 2024 by Forbes Korea! The girl group beat out BTS‘ Jimin, Jungkook, NewJeans and more to bag the top spot.
On April 29, Forbes Korea magazine announced the Power Celebrity list of 2024 and none other than Blackpink topped the list. Yes, you read that right! Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa are the queens of K-pop at the moment. Despite being on a group hiatus since 2022, Blackpink have continued to dominate the music scene with their solo projects, brand deals, world tour, Coachella performance and more.
Beloved girl groups NewJeans and IVE also made it to the top 10. While no boy groups were able to bag a spot, BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook managed to make it to the top 10 of the prestigious list.
Launches in 2009, the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 40 is an annual list published by Forbes Korea magazine. The list presents a compilation of the forty most powerful celebrities in the South Korean sports and entertainment sphere. These figures are classified based on their noteworthy accomplishments in their respective fields, media exposure, social media popularity, scope of television appearances and earnings throughout the previous year.
