Apink’s Yoon Bomi has been in a relationship with Black Eyed Pilseung’s Rado for seven years! After it was reported that the duo have been dating since April 2017, Bomi took to social media to personally confirm the rumours. “Our pink pandas (Apink’s fandom), I am worried that you might have been surprised. I will convey my heart directly to you. We developed good feelings with each other while working on songs together. So we started dating, and are still together now,” she wrote, before adding, “I met a very wise person. Maybe I was lacking a lot when I was young but he has constantly helped me grow into a mature and healthy person.”
On April 25, STARNEWS reported that Kep1er would be disbanding in July after discussions to extend their 2.5 years long contract fell through. However, Kep1er’s label WAKEONE stated, “We are still in discussions with each member and their respective agencies regarding the extension of Kep1er’s activities,” before adding, “Currently, Kep1er is preparing for a new album. We ask for your support so they can return with good music.”
On April 22, news broke that HYBE had initiated an audit against ADOR CEO Min-Heejin and asked her to step down from her position. HYBE reportedly accused Min Hee-jin and ADOR’s management of devising a plan to gain control of the sub-label. Furthermore, ADOR was also accused of leaking sensitive information to various external entities and attempts to tarnish the reputation of HYBE and its artists by manipulating public opinion.
Following the audit by HYBE, Min Hee-jin accused HYBE’s newest girl group, ILLIT, of copying NewJeans. As the feud continued, the ADOR CEO held a press conference on April 25 in which she revealed shocking chats with HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk, confirmed accusations about a shaman being involved in her label-related decisions and NewJeans’ uncertain future.
While HYBE initially refused to respond to Min Hee-jin’s claims, the label went on to release a lengthy statement in which they accused the ADOR CEO of lying and dismissed each one of her claims. HYBE also released the interim audit findings, confirming concrete evidence of ADOR’s planned takeover by Min Hee-jin. Based on the findings, HYBE plans to file a criminal complaint against those involved for embezzlement and other charges.
BTS’ RM is set to release his second solo album. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), BTS’ label BIGHIT MUSIC announced that the rapper’s second solo Right Place, Wrong Person will be dropping on May 24. Right Place, Wrong Person is reportedly an 11-track album that ‘captures universal emotions that we all experience at some point in life.’
On April 22, FNC Entertainment announced Cherry Bullet’s disbandment. “After long deliberation and discussion with our agency artist Cherry Bullet’s members Haeyoon, Yuju, Bora, Jiwon, Remi, Chaerin and May, their official group activities end today. Haeyoon, Jiwon, Remi and May decided on contract termination, while Yuju, Bora and Chaerin will continue individual activities as artists of FNC Entertainment,” the label’s statement read.
