11 Peak (Bet Now: $17.00) has taken a little while to find his feet for Adam Duggan but I reckon he’s ready to rock and roll here for a win. He ran a few weeks ago in the Midway at Rosehill and was very good from near last, working home with real purpose late in the piece behind Super Bright. If he’s within range, he will take holding out.
Danger
12 Mayrose (Bet Now: $17.00) is a John Sargent trained mare that is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. This mare ran at Rosehill three weeks ago in the Midway where she got back off the speed and found the line well enough but was never really threatening behind Cruel Summer. Think with a more positive steer, she’s dangerous.
Long Shot
3 Cruel Summer (Bet Now: $18.00) will jump on the bunny and take running down for Paul Perry. This gelding won the Midway three weeks ago at Rosehill where he produced sustained speed from the front, leading throughout and giving nothing else a look in, winning quite comfortably. He’s now found winning form and he can go on with it.

3 Belvedere Boys (Bet Now: $2.50) picks himself I feel. Matty Dunn trained gelding that comes through a Country Championships Wildcard where he got too far out of his ground and it cost him the win when second third to That’s Molly. Back to Highway grade, the Matty Dunn polish, he looks hard to beat.
Danger
4 Rapbidash (Bet Now: $6.00) is a quality mare for Lyle Chandler that comes through the Country Championships Final where she got a fair way out of her ground but she finished off her race with real purpose in a very good effort behind surprise winner Asgardia. She has good upside to come and back to Highway grade, gee she appeals.
Long Shot
1 Tip Of The Spear (Bet Now: $18.00) has a bit of quality in his own right and is in well after the claim. He ran at Doomben last time out over 1350m when near the speed and fought on quite gamely in defeat behind a nice horse, Miss Joelene, who is Stakes class, so that does read well for a Highway and he maps ideally from the gate.

I am very keen to see how 12 Scarlet Oak (Bet Now: $4.80) goes. Former Kiwi that makes her Australian debut for Chris Waller. She debuted at Matamata where she gave them a start and a beating, and was dominant late. Purchased, now with Waller, and her trial last week at Warwick Farm…they don’t trial much better. Keen to see how she goes.
Danger
5 French Endeavour (Bet Now: $4.80) will love getting back up in trip. Potentially thought she could be a Vinery/Oaks filly but she failed at the mile so she freshened up and went to the PJ Bell where she was very good just off the speed and kept chasing when third to Facile. Fitter and up in trip, she appeals.
Long Shot
13 Unique Ambition (Bet Now: $9.00) is a nice filly for John Sargent who has returned in good order. She resumed with a strong maiden win at Newcastle before being thrown in the deep end in the PJ Bell where she got back to near last in the run and did make up solid headway without threatening behind Facile. Like her up in trip and appeals.

1 Tannhauser (Bet Now: $2.50) is an improving type for Chris Waller and I think he will love getting to 2000m. He ran two weeks ago in the Carbine Club and found the line with real purpose from off the speed, finishing a narrow second to a nice horse, Ducasse. He’s racing as if 2000m suits, he gets that here and strikes a winnable race.
Danger
7 Anderson Bridge (Bet Now: $9.50) is in the mix. He comes through the Tulloch where he was held up at times in the straight and one paced when asked but once he picked up, he was actually quite strong to the line in defeat. He has that 2000m run under the belt, he’ll love getting to Randwick and gets Mark Zahra. Big chance.
Long Shot
6 Ravello (Bet Now: $17.00) is the one with upside and timing so for mine, he appeals as a key winning chance. His run on the Kenso behind City Of Lights last start was very good after chasing a tearaway leader, sticking on quite gamely to run third, and he was only second up there. I think he’ll only run well.

It’s hard to get away from 7 Front Page (Bet Now: $2.15). He resumed three weeks ago in The Galaxy where he led most of the way but just felt the pinch late when a close up third to Zapateo. He loves the Randwick 1200m, he won’t mind give in the track and he isn’t too badly in at the weights. Like him here and is hard to get past.
Danger
4 Rocketing By (Bet Now:
$SP.00) is three weeks between runs for David Pfieffer since racing in the Star Kingdom at Rosehill where he got back to near last in the run and did make up headway but was never really a factor behind Bandi’s Boy but he was still good in defeat. Good upside and improvement to come, he’s in the mix.
Long Shot
9 Key Largo (Bet Now: $26.00) is a hard horse to catch at times but he has an engine under the hood. He ran in the Star Kingdom three weeks back where he got back to near last in the run and did make up solid headway without threatening. If he can settle closer in the run, or even get a drag into the race, he’ll take holding out at odds.

1 Huetor (Bet Now: $14.00) has class on his side and he ran a super race in this event last year. He resumed three weeks ago in the Doncaster Prelude where he got back to near last in the run and made up minimal headway but he kept on and was pretty good in defeat given the set up. Like him up in trip and given his class factor, he is well in at the weights IMO.
Danger
6 New Energy (Bet Now: $5.00) is a good horse, I am convinced of that. He did more than enough at his Australian debut in the Liverpool City Cup before going to the George Ryder where he got back to last in the run and while he was never a threat, he did make up ground and was good in defeat. Hard fit, tick over trial was good and has class.
Long Shot
5 Navajo Peak (Bet Now: $13.00) looks suited up to 2000m. He comes through the Doncaster where he was thrown in the deep end and was outclassed, finishing down the track behind Celestial Legend. He is yet to race at 2000m this prep but he does look a 2000m+ horse so I want to see how he goes against these.

7 Manaal (Bet Now: $2.50) has to be given serious respect. Michael Freedman stable is flying and it’s highlighted by this girl, knuckling down with purpose late in the Slipper in a good effort before going to the Sires where she ate up 1400m and finished hard, nabbing Traffic Warden on the peg. Off that effort, 1600m suits and she has the runs on the board.
Danger
2 Linebacker (Bet Now: $4.40) has been set for this race only since the debut and brings the relatively fresh legs, three weeks between runs since a strong win in the Baillieu where he ran fast time in winning, which is a big tick for a two year old for a meeting. He’ll eat up 1600m and with good upside to come, rates highly.
Long Shot
1 Anode (Bet Now: $11.00) can run an improved race for GaiBott. He pushed Linebacker all the way in the Baillieu before backing up into the Sires where he just didn’t seem 100% happy on the shifty track, and perhaps didn’t handle the back up behind Manaal. Off his run alongside Linebacker, he is dangerous.

12 Southport Tycoon (Bet Now: $7.00) looks to be absolutely humming for Ciaron Maher. He has been kept on ice since his Australian Guineas triumph, where he was heading towards the Doncaster but was scratched due to the bog. His trial last week at Warwick Farm was stunning and he’s here to rock and roll I’d suggest.
Danger
9 Espiona (Bet Now: $6.00) is a top class mare for Chris Waller and has to be given serious respect. This mare comes through the TJ Smith where she wasn’t given much hope with the barrier and the ride, working home hard late to be a close up sixth to Chain Of Lightning. She is quirky but clearly talented and will love getting to 1400m.
Long Shot
13 Encap (Bet Now: $23.00) looks the completely forgotten horse. He’s a classy three year old in his own right. You can make a case to say that he wins the Randwick Guineas with even luck before taking on some big boys and girls in the George Ryder and he more than held his own in defeat behind Veight. Back to 1400m, back to Randwick, fresh legs…he appeals big time.

3 Welwal (Bet Now: $7.00) is absolutely flying for Chris Waller. Three runs back from a spell have been strong, the latest being three weeks back in the Doncaster Prelude when a closing third, a strong third to Another Wil. He has been hit and miss throughout his career down under but this prep, there seems to be more consistency.
Danger
16 Whinchat (Bet Now: $2.70) is absolutely flying this time in for David Pfieffer and rates highly. He did too much work on speed two back in the Liverpool Cup before going to Rosehill a few weeks ago where he led throughout and credit to him, he was impressive from the front, beating a nice horse in Tavi Time. He finds the top again I think and will take running down.
Long Shot
6 Coin Toss (Bet Now: $13.00) will jump on the bunny and take running down. This guy was a strong winner of the National Sprint at Canberra before going to the Doncaster Prelude where he did too much work near the speed and tired late to finish down the track behind Another Wil. Off his Canberra effort, he is a threat.

2 Wategos (Bet Now: $12.00) looks ready to rock and roll fresh. Bjorn Baker trained gelding that is first up, having not raced since The Big Dance when outclassed but far from disgraced in defeat behind Attractable. He has been outstanding in his trial work to prepare for his return and while 1200m is on the short side, he appeals.
Danger
12 Kazou (Bet Now: $3.40) is a quality mare for Chris Waller that resumes. This girl is first up after a two run Spring prep, winning here fresh before going to Cranbourne where she stepped up to 1400m and couldn’t quite see it through when second to Revolutionary Miss. Gun fresh horse and bolted up in a recent trial. Keen to see how she goes fresh, potentially with eyes towards blacktype.
Long Shot
11 Amur (Bet Now: $23.00) is capable of a forward showing here. He hasn’t raced since the CS Hayes where he did work from the wide gate and he rightfully tired late, finishing down the track behind Riff Rocket. More economical run in transit, he can run a much improved race and his recent trial was very good.
