Today is ‘Blue Monday’, a day that is said to be the most “depressing” Monday of the year. However, thanks to an array of travel firms, airlines and holiday providers offering unmissable January sales, it’s a great opportunity to brighten your day by snapping up a deal on your 2025 holidays. 

From big-name airlines to giant cruise firms, the majority of travel companies taking part in January sales give travellers the entire month to snap up a saving. Some even extend their sales into February, meaning even more time to search for a bargain.

Some of the best deals on offer are during the peak summer holiday period. Given how many people travel at this time of year, it can be costly. But thanks to the current sale, you can plan ahead for your summer family holiday and save!

British Airways Holidays has slashed the price of holidays to the USA, Europe, and beyond as part of its January sale, dubbed “The Original Sale”. The British airline and holiday provider has city breaks from as little as £149, holidays to New York from £599 and holidays to Barbados from £739. 

The sale also includes discounted flights to New York, with return flights from £360 and return flights to Miami from £450. 

However, in order to snap up a saving you must book your flights or holidays by January 28, 2025. 

Sykes Holiday Cottages has several offers available right now to plan ahead for your 2025 staycation. Among these include booking with deposits as low as £20, February half-term stays from £350 and savings of up to 20% off Easter Holiday stays.

Lastminute.com is running a sale on select holidays through until the end of January, offering up to £300 on holidays with special codes. 

The brand has released three discount codes on flight and hotel packages in what it is describing as its “biggest winter sale yet”. 

Holiday options include summer breaks as well as last-minute escapes. To top it off, you can secure your trip with a deposit of just £150. 

As part of the sale, hopeful holidaymakers can get £100 off when you spend £1,500 using the code NYEARUK100, get £200 off when you spend £2,500 using the code NYEARUK200 and save £300 when you spend £3,500 using the code NYEARUK300.

Sandals Resorts are all-inclusive, luxury resorts in the Caribbean, known for their romantic settings making them a popular choice for couples and honeymooners. If you’re looking to book a romantic holiday in 2025, now is the time to book as the resort chain is offering an extra £125 off bookings right now.
