1 Conrad (Bet Now: $10.00) has to be an each way bet here. He ran in the Midway two weeks ago at Randwick…well, I say ran, but it was pretty much a barrier trial, getting badly held up behind tired horses when seemingly having plenty to offer. If the breaks go his way, he can take this out.
Danger
3 African Daisy (Bet Now: $10.00) is an improver for Jason Deamer. She resumed over 1250m on the Kenso when taking on the boys and just looked in need of the run behind impressive winner Crafty Eagle. Fitter and up in trip, back to Midway grade, she can run an improved race at odds.
Long Shot
4 Putt For Dough (Bet Now: $5.00) has to be given another look. He was part of a speed battle when resuming at Randwick in the Midway and that burn just told on him late in the piece behind Mad Darcey. If he gets a better run in transit, he’s dangerous enough to threaten.

1 Confess Our Dreams (Bet Now: $2.10) is a ripper for Brad Widdup and confident she can measure up here after a strong effort at the midweeks at Warwick Farm. She got into a decent sport near the speed before being asked for the big effort by J Mac and she found late under pressure to fend them off and win. Harder here, but the way she’s racing, she commands respect.
Danger
2 Passeggiata (Bet Now: $5.50) has a few loose screws upstairs but she clearly has an engine under the hood. Forget she went around at Caulfield last time in the Alinghi. She bombed the start and that pretty much sealed her fate when down the track behind Niance. If she jumps clean, she’ll land on speed and take running down.
Long Shot
3 Mad Darcey (Bet Now: $12.00) comes to this level after a Midway win two weeks back, getting the suck run in behind. Just a matter of getting clear air and once she got it, she drove through and was impressive in winning. More depth here, but off a win, she commands some level of respect.

4 Zelgaria (Bet Now: $4.20) is a gelding in form for Matty Dunn and rates highly for me. He has won two on the bounce, winning two back at Ballina before bolting up at Ipswich in good style. Stable rarely get wrong when they come to the Highway, he’s hard fit, in form…likeable.
Danger
1 Atmospheric Rock (Bet Now: $5.50) has to be given serious respect. He comes through the Sydney Stakes at Randwick when clearly outclassed on paper but he didn’t disgrace himself in defeat behind Overpass. This looks his level and despite the weight, he has class and that will carry him a long way.
Long Shot
18 Monte Outlander (Bet Now: $35.00) is a Noel Mayfield-Smith trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since June 26 at Doomben when racing over 1200m and was never a factor behind Amore Veloce. He is a good horse when right and thought he moved well in a recent Grafton trial.

6 Hiawatha (Bet Now: $3.60) is a real stayer that wants ground so 2400m here is ideal after resuming over 2000m at Kembla where he got back off the speed and took a while to wind into his work but was good late in the piece behind Kind Words. Fitter and up to 2400m, he only runs well.
Danger
7 Misterkipchoge (Bet Now: $7.00) is unknown at 2400m but he’s racing like he will appreciate it. His last couple of runs have come over 2000m, the latest coming at Caulfield when back and held up at times but was quite good late in the piece. He’s racing like 2400m suits and this isn’t a strong race, so he commands respect.
Long Shot
8 Humanity (Bet Now: $35.00) is a winner at the trip overseas so keen to see how he goes. He was keen in the gates at Warwick Farm last time and I think he just ran his race in the gates behind State Of America. His UK form is more than good enough to figure here. One for exotics.

3 Naval Commission (Bet Now: $4.40) looks to have returned well and should appreciate the rise to 1800m. He resumed over 1400m at Warwick Farm when just off the speed and kept finding the line in a good return behind Sir Artie. Fitter and up in trip, good upside to come, hard to beat.
Danger
6 Solder Of Rome (Bet Now: $7.00) will put himself on speed and look to give his all. He was second up when racing over the mile at Warwick Farm where he led throughout and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off. Looks the leader and with front end control, he takes running down.
Long Shot
7 Concello (Bet Now: $10.00) should appreciate a rise to 1800m for Chris Waller. She resumed over 1300m at Warwick Farm where she just got too far back in the run and was never really a factor behind Spanish Fox, who has won again since. Jumps sharply in trip but this isn’t a deep contest, so respect her.

7 Icarian Dream (Bet Now: $5.50) looks a filly of good promise for Ciaron Maher and confident she can measure up here after a debut win at Warwick Farm where she got off the speed and knuckled down with purpose late to win and win well. The rise to 1100m is fine and the stable are very good with their juveniles.
Danger
2 North England (Bet Now: $3.00) is one of the hardest to beat. He comes through the Breeders Plate when leading and giving a very strong kick but just couldn’t quite see it through, run down late by King Kirk. Better for the run and his tick over trial win at Hawkesbury was very good.
Long Shot
3 Chicama (Bet Now: $23.00) is a son of Written Tycoon for GaiBott that is on debut. He has had two trials under the belt in readiness for start one, the latest being at Hawkesbury when winning the trial and seemed to move well enough to my eye. Likely lands on speed and will run an honest race.

2 Magic Time (Bet Now: $2.30) looks the most obvious. She comes through The Invitation from two weeks ago where she looked the winner once she lobbed into a beaut spot but Belclare had it too good in front and was too good for them. Hard fit now, has class, keen to be with her again.
Danger
1 Belclare (Bet Now: $3.40) has steadily got better with racing and the patience of connections was rewarded with an all the way triumph in The Invitation, leading throughout and gave nothing else a look in to win and win well. Likely finds the top again and once again, will be hard to get past.
Long Shot
8 Miss Hellfire (Bet Now: $26.00) comes here with fresh legs for the Neasham/Archibald camp, having not raced since resuming in The Nivison when off the speed and kept finding the line in a good return behind Olentia. Fitter, tick over trial was good and she does have the talent to run a positive race.

He’s got a shocking racing pattern but this race, for most, is an afterthought or just here available. 11 Territory Express (Bet Now: $3.50) has been set for the race. He should have bolted up in the Prelude but bombed the start and then had zero luck in the straight. He’s got a big engine this horse, he’ll get good speed in front to sit off and if he’s within range, I think it’ll take a good one to hold him out.
Danger
16 Kingswood (Bet Now: $5.50) has been outstanding in two starts/wins this time in for Gavin Bedggood and you’d have to say is one of the hardest to beat. He won the Coongy last start, showing good change up speed when asked for the effort and was impressive to the line. Good test here against likely types, but confident he measures up.
Long Shot
15 Major Beel (Bet Now: $23.00) will put himself on speed and give his all. He didn’t disgrace himself in the Epsom before going to the King Charles where he was playing funny buggers with Pride Of Jenni but even allowing for that, he was outclassed. Much better suited at this level and with the rise in trip, I think he’ll run really well.

3 Iron Man (Bet Now: $3.70) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday over 1300m here where I thought he should have won but was given no chance by Schiller, drawing gate two but somehow ended up widest on the turn, rocketing late to just miss. If the breaks go his way, he can take this out.
Danger
6 Fire Star (Bet Now: $3.00) is humming for Peter Snowden and has earned a crack at Saturday metro level after dominant wins at Warwick Farm. Admittedly, he’s had the suck run in both wins, but even allowing for that, he has been dominant. Good test here, but confident he can measure up.
Long Shot
7 Starman (Bet Now: $9.00) is a Chris Waller trained gelding that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since June 29 over this track/distance when struggling on wet ground, finishing down the track behind stablemate Kazou. Trial work to get ready has been strong and on a firm deck, I think he runs well.

1 Rock Empire (Bet Now: $3.30) comes here with fresh legs for GaiBott, having not raced since Sep 25 when a strong all the way winner at Warwick Farm. Credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and get the job done. Tick over trial was good, good racing style, and will take running down.
Danger
6 Need Some Luck (Bet Now: $4.50) has done little wrong in a nine start career and commands respect. Got into a decent spot in transit at Warwick Farm last time and lifted late when it counted to win, beating a good mare, French Endeavour. Good racing style, genuine animal and will keep chipping away.
Long Shot
7 Go Troppo (Bet Now: $41.00) is a son of Hinchinbrook that resumes for David Pfieffer. He hasn’t raced since Sep 28 at Canterbury when finding heavy ground and leading, but just couldn’t quite see it through when third to The Englishman. Not really a noted fresh horse but the trial wasn’t too bad.
