Flemington will conduct a nine event meeting on Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out eight metres for the entire circuit.

2 Jenni’s Meadow (Bet Now: $4.80) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. Team Hayes trained filly that debuted two weeks ago at Sandown where the market said she had three legs and ran accordingly, but kept finding the line and was good in defeat. Like her up to 1200m, can settle on speed and from there, she’ll take running down.
Danger
1 Pisces (Bet Now: $3.20) brings solid Sydney form and with the Godolphin polish, he has to be respected. He ran at Randwick a fortnight back when attempting to lead throughout and gave a decent kick but just couldn’t quite see it through when third to Aemelius. This isn’t a deep race so he only has to hold his form to be around the mark.
Long Shot
8 Grinzinger Pod (Bet Now: $10.00) comes to town off the back of a debut win at Bendigo where she gave them a start and a beating, letting down with nice change up speed and was impressive the way she put them away late in the piece. Good test here coming straight to town but all you can do is win.

9 Moor Mumm (Bet Now: $5.50) should appreciate getting to 1400m. Three weeks between runs since racing down the straight here over 1200m when back in the ruck before angling wider into clear air and let down strongly late but found one better in Niance. Up to 1400m is fine and the form around her does read quite well.
Danger
2 Puketiro (Bet Now: $18.00) is a Kiwi mare for Mark Walker who should like getting to 1400m. This girl resumed behind Niance three weeks back where she just looked a bit rusty but she was good late in the piece for a mare that wants further, which she gets here. With a class factor, I think she commands respect.
Long Shot
6 Jenny Jerome (Bet Now: $11.00) should appreciate getting to a truly run 1400m for the very much in form Patrick Payne stable. She was off a freshen up when racing over 1400m at Caulfield where she was wide no cover for the most part and that run just told on her in the straight but I thought the run wasn’t too bad in defeat. More economical run, she’s dangerous.

12 Batoka Chief (Bet Now:
$SP.00) looks a really nice type for Price/Kent. This guy debuted under the lights at Pakenham where he wasn’t really expected to beat hot pot Makdane, but not only did he beat it, he spanked it and was arrogant the way he put them away. He could be a jet, he could be a one hit wonder…not sure, but Makdane has won since, so the form has been ticked off.
Danger
6 Riverina Power (Bet Now: $14.00) has found winning form and she can go on with it for Tom Dabernig. She was at odds when racing a few weeks ago at Flemington and her win was impressive, giving them a start and a beating from the back in a good win. Was sneaky flying leading into that and now she has that win, her confidence is up and strikes a winnable race.
Long Shot
14 Shoeless (Bet Now: $26.00) is sneaky flying and is dangerous here. He comes through the Sure race from a few weeks back at Caulfield. He got back to near last in the run and although he was never a winning threat, his finale was quite good in defeat. He has that 1600m run under the belt, which holds him in good stead for this.

4 Berkshire Breeze (Bet Now: $3.90) is a very progressive stayer for Ciaron Maher and rates as one of the hardest to beat. He didn’t beat much at Cranbourne last time but the dominance of the win was something else, leading throughout and giving nothing a else look in, winning quite comfortably. No issue with 2500m, good racing style, right camp…appeals.
Danger
7 Mirzann (Bet Now:
$SP.00) seems a very one paced type so I do think the rise to 2500m will be ideal. Punters were quite keen on him last Saturday at Caulfield and while he was held up at times, he was out with clear air early enough and was just fair late. He is dour, so like that they back him up straight away and shoot him to 2500m.
Long Shot
2 Think N Fly (Bet Now:
$SP.00) looks the likely leader and is suited to 2500m after racing over 2000m at Caulfield last Saturday. He attempted to lead throughout and despite being a big price, I thought he ran a very credible race in defeat behind Foujita San, beaten a couple of lengths. Not sure he wins, but he can pinch top four.

5 Steel Run (Bet Now: $5.00) looks clearly the one to beat provided there is petrol left in the tank. Debuted with a strong win over the mile at Caulfield Heath before going to 2000m on the course proper when wide no cover throughout but he was as game as ever in defeat, just pipped near the peg by Aztec State. Hard to beat if that hasn’t busted him.
Danger
4 Zambezi Khan (Bet Now: $7.00) commands respect despite coming back in trip. Patrick Payne trained three year old that is three weeks between runs since contesting the SA Fillies Classic over 2500m at Morphettville when near the speed throughout and tried her guts out but found one better in Positivity. Back in trip I don’t know but she has a touch of quality.
Long Shot
14 Samurai (Bet Now: $16.00) is one I can entertain for wider exotics. Strong maiden winner at Echuca two back before going to the Navy King race from three weeks ago here. He had a suck run in transit just off the speed and tried his guts out but just didn’t have the finale to go with them late. Not sure he wins, but can run top four.

2 Virtuous Circle (Bet Now: $9.50) is sneaky flying for Liam Howley. He has been quite good in two runs back from a spell, the latest being here three weeks ago over the mile when back near last and while he was never a winning threat, his finale was very good late in the piece behind Milford. Like him up to 2000m, hard fit, and if within range, he has the class/quality to win.
Danger
12 Silent Surrente (Bet Now: $4.20) is four weeks between runs for Clarken/O’Shea since contesting the Centaurea at Morphettville when on speed throughout and she tried her guts out but just found one better in the very much in form Sea What I See, who is at the top of betting for the Caulfield Cup. Good racing style and overall, this isn’t a deep race.
Long Shot
7 Beltoro (Bet Now: $9.50) should appreciate a rise to 2000m. Rob Hickmott trained gelding that comes through the Pudding race from two weeks back at Sandown where he got back and did make up ground but in a race dominated on speed, he was never a factor behind the Adelaide raider. Up to 2000m and hard fit, he can bounce back.

13 Marble Nine (Bet Now: $6.00) is unbeaten in two career outings for Team Corstens. He was a strong winner on debut at Mornington in November before being spelled. Resumed at Moe when sitting on speed throughout before being clicked up and he dashed clear late for a dominant win. Progressive, heading in the right direction, can measure up.
Danger
9 Links (Bet Now: $23.00) has found winning form again and she can go on with it. Ciaron Maher trains this filly, who scored a surprise win three weeks ago here, but credit to her, she let down with nice change up speed and was impressive the way she put them away and then fended them off. Harder here, but off last start, he can threaten.
Long Shot
18 Underpants (Bet Now: $26.00) has to be rated as one of the hardest to beat. Scott Spackman trained three year that resumed three weeks ago at this track/distance where he got back in the ruck before angling into clear air and he let down hard, but just missed out on the win when second to Links. Good room for improvement and if within range, he has the finale to win.

8 Le Ferrari (Bet Now: $12.00) is a ripper for Team Hayes and rates as one of the leading contenders. He got the dream run in transit when racing two weeks ago at Sandown and under Ben Allen, he drove hard late and was too good for stablemate Rheinberg. That was his second run since a nine week spell so with room for improvement you’d think, he rates highly.
Danger
6 Rheinberg (Bet Now: $8.50) rarely runs a bad race and I suspect something similar will eventuate here. He was near the speed at Sandown a fortnight back and was there to win, looking the winner for a few strides, but was run down by stablemate Le Ferrari. Very genuine animal, good racing style, he appeals.
Long Shot
7 Hollywood Hero (Bet Now:
$SP.00) is a beauty for Bjorn Baker and appeals as a key chance. He come through The Coast at Newcastle when outclassed on paper but he ran a super race in defeat when a closing fourth to Magnaspin, working home strongly against the track pattern. back to this level, he’s one of the leading chances.

16 Disneck (Bet Now: $20.00) will spot them a start but he can launch late, as seen when winning at Rosehill two back. He then went to Scone where he got back again but this time he couldn’t really get involved behind Dollar Magic. Back up to 1200m, he’ll spot them a start again but should launch at them late and can threaten.
Danger
5 Our Last Cash (Bet Now: $11.00) is three weeks between runs for Donna Scott since racing in the Straight Six at the track/distance where he was held but far from disgraced in defeat at Stakes level behind the in form sprinter Who Dares. Two time winner at Flemington, I think back to this level, he can bounce back hard.
Long Shot
15 William Thomas (Bet Now: $26.00) always runs well down the straight and I think John Price has the veteran sneaky flying. This guy ran two weeks back at Sandown where he got back to near last in the run and did make up solid ground despite never really being a winning threat behind Wondereach. Like him back to the straight course…doubt he wins but a must for exotics.
