John Size trained gelding that resumes, having not raced since July 14 over 1400m here when back off the speed and worked home strongly when second to Happy Daily, beaten a lip. Fresh at 1200m I like, he gets Bowman and should be quite strong late.

$SP.00) is flying and looking to make it three wins on the bounce. The two wins have come at this track/distance, the latest win coming on Nov 9 when finishing best despite doing early work from a tricky gate. Maps ideally against this time around and hard to knock the way he’s racing.

11 Happy Park (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) lands on speed and takes running down. He ran three weeks back over 1400m here when attempting to lead throughout and he did give a strong kick but just found one better in Markwin, who I like later on in the program, so that form reads well for this.

David Eustace trains this son of Divine Prophet that debuted over 1200m here on Nov 9 where he got back in the run from the wide gate but rocketed late in the piece when second to Patch Of Time, who goes around in the opener as a key threat. Maps to settle much closer in the run and with good upside, is hard to beat.

$SP.00) is a definite threat. He ran over this track/distance on Nov 9 where he just got too far back off the speed and while he was never a winning threat, he found the line and was pretty good in defeat I thought. B Shinn on and with a more positive ride, takes beating.

Long Shot

1 Mighty Commander (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1400m after racing over 1200m at Happy Valley when off the speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort when fourth. Racing like 1400m on the bigger track will suit and loses nothing with Joao Moreira taking over.

1 Savvy Brilliant (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) should take a power of beating. He has been quite dynamic this time in, winning two on the bounce before a game second at this track/distance two weeks ago when back and charged late, just missing out on the win. Tricky gate once again but with a drag into the race, within range 400m out, he will take a power of beating.

$SP.00) has to be given another chance. He ran over this track/distance three weeks ago where he got into a nasty spot after a tardy start, eventually finishing down the track so forgive and forget the run behind Young Superstar. Prior efforts were solid and good lead that J Mac sticks.

Long Shot

5 Eighty Light Years (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is one that can be entertained at odds. He ran in the Young Sueprstar race mentioned above. Similar to Divano, the start wasn’t the best, didn’t get the greatest of runs in the race and was just a forgive run. Gets in very well after the claim and can settle handy.

The noise around the camp re 1 Without A Fight (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is that he is flying and if he’s flying, then he is clearly the one to beat. He resumed in the Champions Stakes at Flemington and ran out of his skin in defeat behind Via Sistina, who would be $1.50 against these, so that form is A1 and from what I have seen, his work over there has been great. Dry deck, fitter, 2400m…keen.

13 Stellenbosch (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a very good filly from Japan that brings elite form from the 3YO ranks, including good efforts behind a star filly over there, Cervinia. That is A1 form for the 3YO’s in Japan and she will have no issue with 2400m. She is one of the leading contenders.

Long Shot

5 Iresine (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has a strong finale on him and is very dangerous if there is a drop of rain. He hasn’t raced since the British Champion Stakes where not much went his way so be forgiving of the effort when fourth. Proven on the world stage, being far from disgraced in the Japan Cup last year. If he’s within range, he has the finale to win.

$SP.00) should win, but I am not going to jump up and down and say he is the second coming. He was arrogant when winning the Jockey Club Sprint but I will say he was kissed on the date with the run he got in the run, getting the A1 sit before angling clear. Track record winning time. He’s a star, the best sprinter in Hong Kong and should confirm that with a win here.

2 California Spangle (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is the reigning sprinter of the year in Hong Kong, though I dare say he will lose the title to Ka Ying Rising this season. He was plain I thought in the Jockey Club Sprint but there were signs in the yard that he wasn’t quite there and ran accordingly. He’s proven on this stage, the world stage, and will be on speed.

Long Shot

3 Lugal (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) dominated them in the Sprinters Stakes in Japan so he has the runs on the board to command some form of respect. Recent run was plain but it was on wet ground and he hates that, so a firmer deck this time around, with class, I wouldn’t be dismissing him.

$SP.00) should be winning this I feel. Three weeks between runs since racing over 2000m here. He got dragged back from the wide gate but charged at the end, just missing out on the win when second to Bravehearts. Maps to settle much closer in the run and back to 1800m should be fine.

$SP.00) ran third in the race mentioned above. He got a beaut run in transit near the speed and was there to win but the end of 2000m just found him out and he couldn’t quite see it through. Back to 1800m is fine, kind map in his corner again and gets Purton.

7 Fortunate Son (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a horse connections would have thought could be on the radar for the Derby but his last couple of runs have been just fair. But, I will say, last start was a pen job. Never got involved, did too much early work from the gate so forgive and forget. Tinkering of the gear to sharpen him up so keen to see how he goes.

To me, this race is all about 3 Antino (Bet Now: 
$SP.00). If he brings his best, he wins. Simple as that IMO. He has really transformed his career this prep, highlighted by an incredible triumph in the Toorak where he gave them an absolute start but then an absolute beating. From all reports he has handled the trip over fine and will be strong late, plus loves dry ground.

$SP.00) has the runs on the board when it comes to big race experience, and arrives here in super form from Japan after taking out the Mile Championship in quite dominant fashion. Another that is proven on the world stage and ran well behind Romantic Warrior last year in Japan.

Long Shot

6 Galaxy Patch (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) was a beaten odds on favourite in the Jockey Club Mile but it was the ride from Vincent Ho that done me. It was horrendous and he gave the horse zero hope. The horse did a remarkable job to get as close as he did. If he gets a half decent steer here, he’ll only run well IMO.

His greatness is confirmed, his immortality in Hong Kong is confirmed…what else is there for 1 Romantic Warrior (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) other than to further cement the greatness, the legacy, the immortality. The Jockey Club Cup win…yes, he beat nothing, but it was the manner in which he did it. It was like a track gallop. More depth here, but he’s handled all challenges the last 12-18 months and he’ll do it again.

$SP.00) has to be given respect. She is well known to Australians given she is by All American out of former top filly Yankee Rose. She resumed with a very plain effort in the Tenno Sho but things just didn’t fall into place for her. She is a star in her own right, proven on the world stage, I say she is there to pick up the pieces if the champ is off his game.

10 Content (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a must for exotics. Very good filly for Aidan O’Brien that did win the Yorkshire Oaks earlier in the year but found wet tracks her next couple before a good effort from the back at the Breeders Cup meeting. She does thrive on the road it seems and will be strong at the end of 2000m.

Gets J Mac and despite a tricky gate, commands respect.

5 Beauty Crescent (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is knocking on the door for Tony Cruz. He has run over this track/distance in recent times, the latest run being three weeks back when just off the speed and tried hard when clear but just couldn’t quite get the win when second. Kind map once again, hard fit, racing well…commands respect.

The throw at the stumps comes in the last via 1 The Golden Scenery (Bet Now: 
$SP.00). He is a veteran who probably isn’t at the level he was say 12-18 months, but I do think he’s racing well enough to give this a shake. Just got too far back in the run last time in the Panasonic Cup so I am going to be forgiving of him there. If he can use the gate and settle handy, he’ll take beating.

$SP.00) made it three wins to start his career when a dominant first up winner over 1200m here before going to 1400m in the Panasonic Cup when near the speed and presented to win but just found one better in Green N White. Like him with J Mac on and despite the tricky draw, he appeals.

5 Packing Treadmill (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) should appreciate a rise in trip. He ran over 1000m on Nov 9 down the straight here. He just got run off his legs and was never really a factor when down the track. Better set up here up in trip and back on a bending track. One for exotics.
