8 State Of America (Bet Now: $8.50) for me in what looks a pretty decent Midway I say. He ran two weeks ago in the Midway here and I thought his run was quite good, getting held up at times and was ducking/weaving his way through, finding the line quite well late. He’ll love the rise to 1800m and that was his first run in two months so he has good room for improvement.
Danger
13 Kingston Charm (Bet Now: $9.00) looks on track for John Thompson. She ran in the Midway won by El Castello a fortnight back, getting into a decent spot just off the speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite get there when a close up fourth. Has to be respected in what looks a winnable race.
Long Shot
2 Humanity (Bet Now: $11.00) is in for a good prep. Sara Ryan trained gelding that resumed in the Midway two weeks back. He got back and was held up at times, never really a winning threat, but his last 150m or so was quite good I thought. Might want one more and 2000m but has good upside and will be strong late.

I really like 7 Raging Force (Bet Now: $8.00). Peter Snowden trained that won his respective heat. He was tucked in behind the speed, angled inside and gee he went through his gears under a hold to win and win well. He’s #1 seed for me, he’ll be strong late, has change up speed…very likeable.
Danger
10 Tuscany (Bet Now: $4.00) is a GaiBott colt that won the opening trial. He was near the speed and was under pressure early but when J Mac asked for more of an effort, he responded and was quite impressive late in winning and running decent overall time. Stable love to target this race and this guy appears their #1 seed. Hard to beat.
Long Shot
2 Gambler (Bet Now:
$SP.00) is a well bred colt for Peter Snowden that ran third to Tuscany in that respective trial. He led and was asked to respond, showing fight but was run down late and had to settle for third. Off that trial, he needs to improve to turn the tables but he’s in the right camp to do that.

6 Icarian Dream (Bet Now: $3.70) was the standout of the Fillies and is the one to beat I say. On speed throughout under Zac and gee she went with purpose in the straight, moving under a hold and went on to win with seemingly plenty up the sleeve. Keen to see her here.
Danger
8 Memo (Bet Now: $8.50) looks a talented filly for Peter Snowden. She won her respective trial, giving them a start and a beating, letting down with good change up speed late to win and win well. Looks very raw and new to the caper, but clearly has an engine under the hood. One of the leading contenders.
Long Shot
3 Bel Merci (Bet Now: $5.00) is on debut for John Thompson. She ran second in her trial, and what I liked about her was the effort she showed late. Chad asked her for an effort and the response was instant, working to the line strongly in a good sign for an early juvenile. Keen to see how she goes.

1 Depth Of Character (Bet Now: $9.50) has to be given another chance I say. He comes through the Guineas Prelude at Caulfield where he paraded quite big in condition and in a sit/sprint, he wasn’t suited so a total forgive. Fitter and up in trip, he had trialled super leading in so I think he can bounce back.
Danger
2 Just Party (Bet Now: $4.80) is one of the leading contenders. Ryan/Alexiou trained colt that ran in the Ming Dynasty from three weeks ago. He was just off the speed throughout and tried his guts out to try and get there but couldn’t quite finish the job behind Lady Shenandoah. Hard fit and up in trip, he rates highly.
Long Shot
8 China Sea (Bet Now: $17.00) should appreciate a rise to the mile. He resumed three weeks back in the Ming Dynasty where he got a mile back in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat I thought. Not sure he wins, but a first four threat at odds.

12 Chica Mojito (Bet Now: $3.60) is the way I am leaning. Chris Waller trained mare that resumed three weeks ago at Rosehill where she got off the speed and was held up at times before getting clear and drove hard late, just missing out on the win when second to Firestorm. That form was franked last Saturday, hard to beat against these.
Danger
4 Floating (Bet Now: $6.00) is a beauty for Matty Smith and is one of the hardest to beat I say. He was a strong track/distance winner from two weeks ago, getting into a sweet spot just off the speed before angling clear and knuckled down with purpose late to win and win well. He can go on with it.
Long Shot
6 Junipal (Bet Now: $18.00) is getting on in years but he has class when right and isn’t racing too bad. The sit/sprint set up wasn’t to his liking at Randwick last time and just couldn’t quite dash with them late behind impressive winner Floating. If he brings his best, he can give this a shake.

1 Autumn Glow (Bet Now: $1.55) just picks herself. Star filly that is 3/3 to start her career and each time she has been arrogant, the latest being two weeks ago in the Tea Rose when bad luck was taken out of the equation, ridden on speed and it was pretty much a barrier trial. All things being equal, she wins.
Danger
2 Snow In May (Bet Now: $6.50) is the one from the Tea Rose behind Autumn Glow that can be considered the main threat. She got back in the run and while she was never beating Autumn Glow, she worked to the line with purpose. Doubt she turns the tables but 1600m should be okay.
Long Shot
4 Lady Shenandoah (Bet Now: $6.00) is the X Factor. Chris Waller trained filly that was off one soft trial leading into her return three weeks back in the Ming Dynasty where she was impressive, knuckling down with purpose late. Good test here and I think she’s there to pick up the pieces if the favourite is off her game.

1 Giga Kick (Bet Now: $2.45) looks here to make a statement. He resumed in the Concorde when wide throughout and I thought he stuck on very well in defeat behind I Am Me, with the run having good merit given he paraded very big in condition. Tick over trial win at Canterbury was quite sharp, fitter and up to 1200m, he’s the one to beat.
Danger
7 Bella Nipotina (Bet Now: $2.90) is the best sprinter in Australia and has to be given serious respect. She resumed in the Concorde when off speed and you can make a case to say with clear air she wins, but didn’t get out til late, charging late to just miss out on picking up I Am Me. Like her up in trip, fitter, very genuine…leading contender.
Long Shot
2 Think About It (Bet Now: $4.00) is a fascinating runner. Joe Pride trained Everest champ from last year that resumes and is here to impress to try and get a slot. He had a disappointing Autumn but Pride tried him as a miler and it didn’t work out. Back to sprinting and his trial work for the return has been sharp. Watch the market.

14 Land Legend (Bet Now: $8.00) is the horse I have eyes on for this race for a few months. He had trialled up like an absolute jet and while his two runs have been fair on face value, there has been merit/reasons. First up was just another barrier trial before going to the Kingston Town where he was quite keen off the moderate speed but that said, he stayed on and was good in defeat. Hard fit, 2400m, weight relief, he is hard to beat.
Danger
21 Unusual Legacy (Bet Now: $6.00) is the one with a sense of timing and is right down in the weights for Chris Waller. He is a bit on the one paced side but he will be launching late and finding the line. He tried his guts out but just found one better last Saturday in stablemate Firestorm. Love him up in trip, he’ll be strong late…he can win.
Long Shot
10 Zardozi (Bet Now: $10.00) has these on toast if she brings her best. The question is, is she anywhere near her best? I thought good luck beating her after her great return in the Winx Stakes but she was plain in the Chelmsford and then got keen in the run in the Kingston Town, which took away from her finale. 52kg, hard fit, gee she gets in very well.

14 Molly Bloom (Bet Now: $41.00) is one of two I am going to speck at odds. On paper, last in the Theo Marks doesn’t scream out, but watching the replay, she just found the 1300m too sharp and in a sit/sprint, she was never a factor. I think with a good gate, a big jockey upgrade, she’ll do no work, suck run and in a fast run mile, she’ll be very strong late I say.
Danger
7 Ceowulf (Bet Now: $6.50) has the 2000m run into a big Randwick mile, which has traditionally been a perfect formula. He tried his guts out to get past Eliyass, but in a sit/sprint, he couldn’t do much more than what he did when second. Back to the mile, in well at the weights, he clearly rates highly for mine.
Long Shot
The other I am going to speck is 11 Loch Eagle (Bet Now: $81.00) for Kris Lees. You look at his Randwick 1600m form, it does read very well. Ingham/Villiers winner from last year and he didn’t disgrace himself at all in the Doncaster, where he carried 53kg. 52.5kg for this and his run in the Cameron at Newcastle was pretty much a barrier trial. I think he’ll run a big race at a big price.

4 Ostraka (Bet Now: $3.30) looks to have returned in beast mode and should take a power of beating here. He resumed three weeks ago at Rosehill where he gave them a start and a beating, finishing best to win and win well in an electric return. Fitter, bigger track…he only has to run to the resumption and he likely wins again.
Danger
21 Briasa (Bet Now: $4.40) is a very promising animal for Team Hawkes. He resumed five weeks ago at Rosehill where he didn’t beat a great deal I thought but the way he put them away was that of a good horse heading in the right direction. Good test here against good types, but I am confident he can measure up.
Long Shot
14 Dalaalaat (Bet Now: $23.00) is flying for Nathan Doyle and is one of the leading contenders. Narrow defeat at Rosehill two back before racing here where he got off the speed and while he was never threatening, he kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat behind Moravia. Not sure he wins, but a must for exotics.
