2 Cryoseisms (Bet Now: $5.50) is a beautifully bred colt for James Cummings that is on debut. He is by Frosted out of Blue Diamond winner Earthquake, so he is bred to be a beauty and I have liked the way he has moved in trial/jumpout work, the latest piece of work being a Flemington jumpout win last week. Tricky draw, but he does appear above average.

Long Shot

9 Commanding Belle (Bet Now: $8.50) is a daughter of Farnan on debut for Team Price. This girl has had two trials in readiness for start one and each time she has stepped out, she has looked pretty good. Maps to do no work in the run and first up in town vs provincial signals some level of intent. Watch the market.

2 Super Bright (Bet Now: $7.50) is hit and miss but off her return, I think she’s hard to beat here. She resumed under the light at Canterbury where she arguably should have won but just had no luck in the straight when third to Salisano. Trialled up super off that too so she’s back, I think, and is on top for me.

1 Bundeena (Bet Now: $4.20) is a Spirit Of Boom gelding that resumes for John Thompson. He is first up, having not raced since Aug 24 here when placing in a Midway behind a very progressive animal, Well Timed. Gets in well after the claim and has trialled nicely for the return.

Long Shot

4 Nosey Parker (Bet Now: $21.00) won’t know himself back to this level after racing in a strong 94 here when outclassed but far from disgraced in defeat behind Iowna Merc, who would be $1.10 against these. Back to Midway grade, he’s going to take beating for sure.

1 Associate (Bet Now: $5.00) is knocking on the door to win for Danielle Seib and seemingly strikes a winnable Highway here I say. He arguably should have won at Wagga Riverside last time out. He got too far out of his ground and while he spotted those in front a tidy start, he kept finding the line and was good in defeat. In nicely after the claim and this isn’t a deep Highway.

3 Adolphus (Bet Now: $8.50) has less convictions than most and has good upside/progression. He resumed over 1400m at Canberra where he lobbed in a beaut spot near the speed and was there to win, finding under pressure to get the win in a super return. Upside/progression and loves the rise in distance.

Long Shot

11 Miss Ghent (Bet Now: $18.00) is a Norm Gardner trained mare that should be around the mark, as seen in the Highway here two weeks back behind In Summer when tucked in behind the speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite finish the job. Gets right down in the weights after the claim and the depth here isn’t overly deep.

I am saying 3 Excelladus (Bet Now: $6.00) is here to run a beauty. He resumed in the Razor Sharp where he was held up at times before eventually getting clear and found the line with real purpose in a strong return behind Jedibeel. Fitter and up in trip, he maps to stalk Accredited and be strong late.

6 Accredited (Bet Now: $1.70) is flying for Joe Pride and with front end control, he’ll take running down. He showed good ticker here to win a fortnight back. He was on speed and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and win. He gets the front and the way he’s racing, rates highly.

Long Shot

4 Cinque Torri (Bet Now: $14.00) should improve up in trip for Bjorn Baker. He resumed behind Accredited two weeks back where he got to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was good in defeat. Better set up here, not dismissing him.

13 Perfumist (Bet Now: $3.60) rises in grade/depth but she is a mare on the up and with good weight relief, I am happy to be in her corner. She has won her past two, bolting up at Mudgee before repeating the dose in style at Canterbury when dominant from off speed. Harder here, but she’s flying, down in the weights and has a good racing style.

2 Captain Amelia (Bet Now: $6.00) commands respect off a track/distance win a fortnight back where she gave them a start and a beating, and was impressive the way she put them away late, knuckling down with purpose late. Maps to settle closer and still be effective late.

Long Shot

5 Desiah (Bet Now: $18.00) has to be given another look for Ciaron Maher. She resumed four weeks back at Rosehill where she found a bog track and couldn’t pick her feet up late in the piece behind Lulumon. Firmer deck and better for the run under the belt, not penning her.

16 Inside Man (Bet Now: $5.50) each way for me. Chris Waller trained three year old that was wide no cover when racing here two weeks and despite being held late, he stayed on and was quite good in defeat I thought behind Arriving Home. Gets a better run in transit here and should be strong at the end.

4 Fiddler’s Green (Bet Now: $5.50) is a key threat. He ran over this track/distance a fortnight back where he was off the speed and held up at times before eventually getting clear and found the line nicely enough in defeat behind promising filly Churchill’s Choice. Tricky draw but commands respect in a winnable race.

Long Shot

12 Autumnation (Bet Now: $9.50) lacks any real change up speed but should be strong late and is a must for exotics after racing over 1550m at Canterbury when off the speed and held up at times but kept chasing in a pretty solid effort in defeat. Maps to do no work, a win wouldn’t shock.

7 Disneck (Bet Now: $2.80) is flying and has to be respected. On the quick back up after bolting up on Boxing Day at this track/distance, giving them a start and a beating, producing electric change up speed to win impressively. Harder here but off last start, he has to be rated as the one to beat.

9 Amazing Eagle (Bet Now: $2.50) probably needs to win this in order to warrant a start next Saturday at the Gold Coast. He comes through the Pierata at Doomben where he wasn’t 100% happy on the wet track but he stayed on and kept finding, just missing out on the win when second to Street Chase. He finds firmer footing here and his trial since was quite sharp.

Long Shot

4 Gravina (Bet Now: $14.00) loves this track/distance and looks to have returned well after resuming over 1100m here where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line in defeat in a good return. Maps to settle closer and be effective late.

17 Akkadian Emperor (Bet Now: $3.60) looks better than these. Neasham/Archibald trained gelding that resumed over 1850m at Newcastle where he was smashed in betting late and the bets were landed as he made a mess of them and ran decent enough time for the meeting. He was first up there so with upside/improvement to come, I think it could be a case of good luck beating him.

10 Cheval Savant (Bet Now: $9.50) has found winning form for Ciaron Maher and was scratched from a much easier race on Wednesday in preference for this. Loved his win last start on the Kenso. He dug in under pressure to fend them off and win. Should have won the start prior, he is hard to beat for me.

Long Shot

6 Soul Choice (Bet Now: $27.00) is dangerous with her best. She hasn’t raced since Ballarat Cup Day when near the speed and took the front before the turn but didn’t fire and was a bit on the plain side late in the piece. Given a mini freshen up and her recent trial was more than encouraging.

12 Apex (Bet Now: $3.80) seems the straight bat play in a tricky race. Team Hawkes trained gelding that ran over 1200m at Canterbury last time out when off speed and seemingly had his chance but couldn’t quite finish the job when second to Dance To The Boom, who won the Gosford Guineas, so the form reads super and I do think back to 1100m is ideal despite the tricky gate.

10 Cosmonova (Bet Now: $6.50) is a daughter of Zoustar for Joe Pride that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since Aug 3 at Rosehill when making it two on the bounce in a strong display. Three trials under the belt for the return, kind map and strikes a winnable race.

Long Shot

2 South Of India (Bet Now: $6.50) will jump on the bunny and give cheek. He ran over this track/distance last time out in a much stronger race than this when hunting forward to hold an on speed spot and that early burn just told on him late behind Iowna Merc. Back to 78 grade, he rates highly.

4 Captain Fenkel (Bet Now: $5.00) seems a massive price here for mine. Marcus Wilson has done some interesting placement with this horse this prep. He is a 76 rater but has contested Stakes races in all three runs this prep, the latest over the mile at Eagle Farm when far from disgraced in defeat behind Gold Bullion. Only has to hold his form and I think he’s the winner, especially from the draw.

$SP.00) has to be given respect. He resumed here two weeks ago where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line in a very strong return behind impressive winner Accredited. More positive ride, he takes beating.

8 For Victory (Bet Now: $5.50) is on the seven day back up after racing over the mile here last Saturday. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was quite good in defeat. Spots them a start but should be strong at the end.
