Viera is set to welcome a major new attraction with the development of a $28 million Topgolf facility, marking the company’s debut in Brevard County. The state-of-the-art entertainment venue, combining advanced golf technology with a family-friendly environment, recently received preliminary approval from county officials.

The proposed site for the Topgolf venue is located within The Avenues, a growing hub of retail, dining, and entertainment in central Brevard County. The plan calls for a several waivers which were approved to include waivers allowing for lighting of the hitting bays and for the distinct netting up to 165 feet tall that keeps the golf balls hit within the driving range. The nearly 12 acres of land to be used for the site is owned by The Viera Company. It is located just east of the AMC Theaters.
Once operational, the Topgolf venue is expected to create hundreds of jobs during construction and through long-term positions in customer service, food and beverage, and event management. The project is also anticipated to bring a significant boost to local tourism, attracting visitors from across Central Florida and beyond.
“Topgolf venues are designed to be more than just entertainment destinations; they aim to build community and introduce people to golf in a fun, accessible way,” a company representative said in a statement.
It will be open from 9am to midnight during the week, and until 2am on weekends.
In the past, the Viera Company has stated it was hesitant to bring a venue like Top Golf in order to avoid competition with its flagship golf course Duran.
The County Commission is expected to review the proposal and vote this Thursday. If approved, construction could begin later in the year, with an estimated opening date in late 2025 or early 2026.
