4 Smashing Eagle (Bet Now: $4.20) is flying for Ryan/Alexiou but his racing pattern is absolutely horrendous. That was evident two weeks ago in the Midway here over 1100m. Back last, held up, out too late and launched at them to finish third. If the breaks go his way and he can be within range, good luck beating him.
Danger
5 Well Timed (Bet Now: $4.00) looks to be in for a good prep for Kerry Parker. He resumed in the Midway a fortnight back here. He seemed to get a decent enough run in transit and tried his guts out but he couldn’t quite get the win when second to Bundeena. Better for the run, fitter and up in trip, he appeals.
Long Shot
8 Curl Curl (Bet Now: $26.00) is one I can entertain at odds. Paul Perry trains this gelding, who ran in the Midway won by Bundeena from two weeks back. He got a fair way back in the run but his finale was more than sound in defeat. Not sure I could back him to win but is one for exotics.

6 Awesome Wonder (Bet Now: $5.50) won last start and no reason why she can’t repeat the dose. That win came two weeks ago at this track/distance where she got back off the speed but tracked up with purpose before angling clear and with her staying prowess, she finished best to win well. Hard to beat again I say.
Danger
5 Kureder (Bet Now: $4.00) has been up a little while but is racing well and is deserving of a win. He ran second to Awesome Wonder a fortnight back when getting a suck run in transit and loomed large to win but just didn’t have the finale of Awesome Wonder. Only has to hold his form to be around the mark.
Long Shot
4 Kapakiri (Bet Now: $8.00) can bounce back for Chris Waller. He won two back at Rosehill before going here two weeks back. He just got a bit too far back in the run and although he was never a threat, he did make up headway and was solid in defeat. Off his win at Rosehill, he can take this out.

10 Cool Storm (Bet Now: $5.50) looks suited back to 1100m and is dangerous. Ran over 1200m three weeks ago at Rosehill when attempting to lead throughout and giving a strong kick but six furlongs just found him out when third to Lonhro’s Queen. Back to 1100m and back to a Class 2, he takes beating.
Danger
7 Don’t Call Me Honey (Bet Now: $5.50) looks to be in for a good prep. Cameron Crockett trained gelding that resumed behind Sir Freddie two weeks back here. He got into a decent spot near the speed and tried hard but being first up, condition just gave way late in the piece. Fitter and up in trip, he’s a definite improver.
Long Shot
12 Soaring Phoenix (Bet Now: $19.00) is a talented mare for Brett Cavanough that appeals back to a Class 2. She ran over 1000m here a fortnight back where she got a fair way out of her ground but her finale was more than sound in defeat behind Sir Freddie. Like her up in trip and dangerous if she can settle closer.

1 West Of Africa (Bet Now: $5.00) is humming for the Neasham/Archibald camp and should prove hard to beat once again. He got the dream run in transit two weeks ago at this track/distance, getting good cover, a drag into the race, before angling wider and let down with nice change up speed to win and win well. He’s the one for me.
Danger
2 Unusual Legacy (Bet Now: $4.60) is a very interesting runner. Chris Waller trained galloper that resumes and I know the stable have eyes on The Metropolitan with him. He resumes after a very good Autumn campaign where he showed good promise. Trial work has been strong and despite a tricky gate, commands respect.
Long Shot
11 Colour Sergeant (Bet Now: $19.00) is one I can entertain for exotics. He ran fourth to West Of Africa in the race mentioned above where he had a suck run in transit and tried hard but was no match late, but that said, he stuck on well. Not sure he wins but a must for exotics.

3 Eliyass (Bet Now: $2.00) should be taking care of these if she has Group l aspirations. She made a big impression at her Aussie debut when bolting up in the Lord Mayors Cup and looking every bit a good stayer of the future. Given a mini break and her tick over trial work has been more than encouraging.
Danger
7 Redstone Well (Bet Now: $5.50) has found positive form and he can certainly go on with it for the Neasham/Archibald camp. He ran two weeks ago in the Premiers Cup Prelude where he was near the speed and tried hard but had no answers late for the finale of impressive winner, the hard fit/in form Golden Path. Up in trip, he rates highly.
Long Shot
8 Canberra Legend (Bet Now: $13.00) is capable. Chris Waller trained import that seems a bit on the one paced side so the rise to 2000m I like. He resumed two weeks back in the Prelude where he got back, was wide, doing work, and although he was never a threat, he kept finding and wasn’t too bad in defeat. He is more than good enough to threaten this lot. Not penning him.

I have always been a fan of 4 Ameena (Bet Now: $5.00) and I reckon she’s here to run really well first up for Team Freedman. Just found racing Sydney way first time a bit much in the Percy Sykes during The Championships and was spelled. Trial here was very good, was off speed and when given a squeeze, she was sharp. Keen to see how she goes.
Danger
1 Manaal (Bet Now: $2.80) is a star filly for Michael Freedman that resumes. The Sires winner resumes after running fourth here in the Champagne on very testing ground behind Broadsiding. She does seem to go well on the fresh side, her trial win last week was quite good and I think she’s here to rock and roll.
Long Shot
10 Sakima (Bet Now: $27.00) is racing like a rise in trip will suit. Peter Snowden trained filly that ran over 1100m a few weeks back at Randwick. She got off speed and while she was never threatening Tarpaulin, she kept finding the line in a good effort to run second. Think she has talent and is one for exotics.

15 Ducasse (Bet Now: $31.00) is one of the leading contenders. Michael Freedman trained four year old that resumes, having not raced since the QLD Guineas when producing an end of prep run, finishing down the track behind Kintyre. Like what I have seen from him in trial, and to my eye, there is a bit of intent to run well fresh.
Danger
8 Joliestar (Bet Now: $3.30) is a star mare for Chris Waller that resumes. This girl hasn’t raced since a strong win in the Arrowfield Sprint where she got a 12/10 by J Kah and in a driving go, she finished best to win. Given a good break and her trials leading in have been outstanding. Could she put her hand up for The Everest?
Long Shot
10 Encap (Bet Now: $12.00) is a son of Capitalist that resumes for Gary Portelli. This guy did a decent job when last in work, his latest run being in the All Aged here on a bottomless deck where he couldn’t pick his feet up in the conditions behind Magic Time. Trial work has been sound and fresh at 1200m, keen to see how he goes.

Back Me
10 Semana (Bet Now: $13.00) lacks the class of some of these but she is the one, I feel, that comes here with intent. She has residual fitness from QLD when second to star mare Bella Nipotina in the Tatts Tiara. She is the one with fitness on her side and her recent trial win at Warwick Farm when on speed and trucking, proving quite dominant late. Lands near the front and will give a big sight.
Danger
6 Fangirl (Bet Now: $2.45) won this race last year. Is she going as well 12 months on? It’s hard to say, because her trial work, to my eye, has been just okay. Nothing too great, and her piece of work between races last Saturday was similar, so it’s hard to get a gauge on her but purely off race day form, she is a top class mare and has to be respected.
Long Shot
8 Atishu (Bet Now: $23.00) is seven years of age but she seems to be getting better with age. She had a very good Autumn prep and I think most would agree that she should have won the Queen Of The Turf but was slaughtered by B Shinn. Her trial work has been outstanding and I reckon she’s here to rock and roll.

Gee 11 Commemorative (Bet Now: $2.80) is an absolute monster. Dominant at Scone and has been spelled. Could be a sneaky Everest contender and her trial at Warwick Farm, the way she closed off under a hold…humming. She looks to be in for a big Spring and confident she can kick it off with a win here.
Danger
8 Mumbai Muse (Bet Now: $10.00) looks to be in for a good prep. Michael Freedman trained mare that resumes, having not raced since April 13 when far from disgraced in the Arrowfield Stud behind Joliestar. Not a noted fresh horse but with two sharp trials under the belt, the intent is there, so I think watch the market.
Long Shot
The set up isn’t there for 1 Lady Laguna (Bet Now: $9.50) but she is the class runner of the field and that will carry her a long way towards victory. She was one of the finds of the Summer/Autumn, highlighted by a Group l win in the Canterbury Stakes. Has to carry the weight, but she is the class.

10 World Alliance (Bet Now: $11.00) should prove hard to beat here for Matty Smith. He ran over this this trip two weeks ago. He just got too far out of his ground but his finale was very good, closing off with purpose late in the piece behind Willaidow. Has that 1200m run under the belt, which holds him in good stead.
Danger
8 Pokerjack (Bet Now: $23.00) is a beauty for Tash Burleigh and rates highly I say. Big win against the pattern two back at Canterbury before going to 1200m at Rosehill when off speed and kept finding the line behind Iron Man. I think with a more positive ride, he appeals.
Long Shot
9 Invader Zim (Bet Now: $4.50) comes back to 1200m but will be strong late. Loved the ticker he showed to win a few weeks ago over 1300m here, letting down with purpose, albeit in the best ground, but found to just get the better of a nice horse, Kerguelen. Back in trip no issue and is one of the hardest to beat.
